Our dad moved into assisted living at VPC within a few months of my mom's passing. He lived at VPC for 3 and a half years and truly considered it his home. Initially he was nervous and unsure but knew he could no longer manage his home. The "floor ambassador", another resident, introduced my dad to others on the floor and continued the introductions during dinner. What a great idea! A floor ambassador to introduce new residents and welcome them. The staff was attentive and consistently treats each individual with kindness and respect. Maintenance was readily accessible if issues occurred in my dad's apartment. The servers in the dining area addressed my dad by name by the second day! He found the food delicious, with an alternative menu available if he didn't care for the special of the day. Amy, Ann, and Emily deserve a shout out for their hustle and positive attitude every single day. Their compassion for the residents shines through! If any issues needed to be discussed, the director, Crystal, was readily available and discussed various options to resolve the matter. If considering a home for yourself or a loved one I would tour VPC. I believe you will have the same sense of care and trust that we did.
