I go to VCare Holyoke High St. and I really enjoy it there. We eat breakfast do exercises, activities, play bingo, go on out trips to the casino, shopping, zoo, museum etc. They feed us lunch and a snack. We do arts and crafts, domino's and much more. The nurses give us our medication also. The staff is so nice. VCare gives me a place to be every day. If it wasn't for VCare I would be home in my bed all day.

Does Medicare cover care from Vcare?

Yes. Vcare is a Medicare-certified home health agency, so Medicare Part A or Part B pays in full for skilled nursing, therapy and home health aide visits when a doctor orders them and the patient is homebound. There is no copay for covered home health visits.

Do I need a referral to use Vcare?

For Medicare to pay, yes: a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant must certify that care is needed and sign a plan of care.
