My mom has been here for almost 4 years. She was here when it was a Jewish home. The staff here nurses and aides are mixed with temps from agencies. The staff is good ,The temps are horrible. I have personally watched this place go down hill. Most of the good staff has left and the one's left are threatened with there jobs. The temps are either on their phones or hiding somewhere. The Managements of this place sucks, always making excuses for bad behavior. I feel bad for the director of Nurses, he tries hard and Management never gets involved. Alot of lazy people now. Seems like profit or people. The kitchen food never matches the menu. Mom was given food she was allergic to (Temps) good thing someone from our family was there. They try to leave patients in bed (Temps) so the don't have to work. There are more excuses than solutions. My Mom is moving from this facility. State needs to look into the management of this facility. Think twice before you come here. So sad. The only reason gave it a 2 star is that some staff are still here that good, But for how long. If you don't believe me, look at Massachusetts rating on there website, this place is 1 star.

Vantage at New Bedford has some great staff. One in particular is Jackie. A CNA on the 2nd floor who takes amazing care of my great grandmother. She is attentive and kind. We always know my Grandmother is in great hands when we see her working. She ensures my grandmother is dressed and her hair is neat and she has everything she needs. Jackie is always so nice and happy to talk with us/ greet us. Jackie is as patient as you can be...My grandmother is not the easiest person to deal with in her later age. We really appreciate how caring and compassionate she is!

The women at the front desk are always smiling and kind. The nurse manager is very helpful and always answering our questions. The CNA Jackie on 3-11 shift is so considerate and kind to all especially my 88 year old grandmother. She makes her bed look fancy ( which she loves) and has lots of words of encouragement for her always.

My mom was sent from the hospital to vantage for rehab to heal before coming back home. On her second day there she was struggling to breathe and the facility thought it was more appropriate to call for non-emergency transportation instead of calling 911 for emergency services; transportation took 4 hours to bring her to the hospital. During her time there, she was ignored for well over an hour each time she pressed her call button and when they finally responded, they were rude to her. I don’t think they realized I was on the phone while she waited for them as well as when they were being impatient and unkind. Also, they fit two people in a room that’s barely big enough for 1. I would rate this place zero stars if that was an option. If you love your family members, find a different facility.

My mom was here for long term rehab. She was here for 6 months. My mom enjoyed the food. The rooms and common areas were kept clean. There were activities for residents to do 5 days a week from painting, to jewelry making, bingo, trivia and more. During the summer they took the residents on the patio for morning activities. The rehab staff worked hard and tailored exercises for what my mom needed to work on. We were able to bring our dog in to to visit which the residents enjoyed. They made all her Dr appointments and arranged all transportation. Micheal is administrator who was great and his door was always open for any concerns or questions along with Kelly who is the social worker. We appreciate everyone who worked with my mom and my family. I would 10/10 recommend. While my mom was excited to come home, she also said she’d miss the activities and friends she made. Every staff member I spoke with or had interacted with were all great. Thank you for taking awesome care of my mom! Special thanks to Stephanie and Rochelle, the rehab therapists who came to our home to assist my mom with our stairs to get in today when we was discharged!!
