My parents moved into this location in November 2020. Although at that time it was under different ownership, their residency location has remained the same. Over the many years I have seen many changes, staff come and go, many who to say were better than others…..at times (I to myself) doubted the integrity of some individuals who were caring for my parents…but so many others were great. I’m very hands on and involved in their daily lives, so my presence was known when I was at the community. You would only want the best for your Dad and Mom…at least in my eyes. In September of 2025, it was no longer Truewood by Merrill and became Saddle Ridge Senior Living. Today…..March 2026, I have such a “feeling of relief” of where it’s come! I feel compelled to say that Saddle Ridge Senior Living in Clovis is a great place for those who desire and require that special place to call home. For others who are seeking a resolution for loved ones whose dynamics have changed, I would recommend you stopping by to check it out. I’m excited that the premises are going to soon be going through a complete remodel. The plans look impressive! There are fun activities for all and they are supportive in that they encourage involvement and are willing to give my folks that extra nudge needed at times in taking them away from the TV! Lol. They also provide a great variety of entertainment and bring in some very talented people! This is something I have personally witnessed because I’m here often visiting. Overall this is a warm and friendly community! Fun weekly activities are always on calendar along with an evening movie in the theater. I appreciate the fun events and activities that they invite us as family to be a part of. I find myself to be a “hard nut to crack” and as I am particular about many things, I tend to be quite picky in the eyes of most. I am truly grateful for the genuine care, friendliness and attention you are all proving my Dad! From the director, to the admin team, to the entire care staff, and those working in dining, a heartfelt THANK YOU from Andrew’s daughter!

My mother-in-law moved in last year when it was Truewood by Merill and everything was great. But since the new company has taken over, everything has gone down hill. They laid off most of the staff without replacing them. Residents are waiting over an hour to get their meals, and when they do the food is inedible. They have nurses serving the food and working in the kitchen because they fired everyone. This is against the law unless these nurses have food handler's certification, which I doubt. Since the nurses that are still on staff are having the serve food, they are not able to attend to the residents like they are supposed to.

The staff were all very helpful when moving in my cousin. Beau was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. If he was unsure if something he would ask and get back to us promptly. Very clean, home like environment. Prices are better than most in Fresno Clovis area. We would recommend Truewood in Clovis to those looking for a home to age in place, since they offer independent and assisted living at many levels of care. Here are pictures of the studio my cousin rented.

My husband and I have lived in Truewood/Clovis for four years. The facility offers a Bible Study on Wednesdays and a worship service on Sundays which we enjoy. All of the staff from the front desk, activity leader, dining staff, housekeeping, bus driver, etc., always greet us with our names and a smile and make us feel at home. As we got to know the other residents, it began to feel like a family. Many activities are provided and there is usually something of interest for everyone who chooses to participate. The dining staff are very considerate and try to provide the extra touch for special requests and they do it with a smile. The food is good and the home baked cookies are excellent. The med staff and resident assistants are so helpful and look out for the care of the residents that need their special attention. Housekeeping cleans our apartment weekly and do it with a smile. Laundry staff do our linens and towels weekly and personal items as well. Great place to live.

We have been so incredibly happy with our experience here. Moved in my mother-in-law in December, and it's been a true joy working with the staff. They helped us through our beginning anxieties and were patient with us when things got difficult for us. The staff is kind, helpful, and unbelievably caring. Through all the ups and downs of caring for and assisting our family, Truewood has gone above and beyond. Their communication is top notch, the facility and activities are engaging, and we couldn't be happier. I'm so glad that we found Truewood. We truly feel like family here.
