TRU Community Care

TRU Community Care is a nonprofit organization providing compassionate care across Colorado for individuals and families facing serious illness, aging, dementia, and grief. The organization has served Colorado families for 50 years with clinically skilled and deeply compassionate wraparound services focused on comfort, clarity, and respect for each person's values and priorities.

TRU offers a coordinated range of care programs tailored to different stages of the journey. These include in-home care coordination to help older adults remain safely in their homes and communities through comprehensive medical and social support; a supportive home in Lafayette for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias; palliative care providing symptom relief and guidance for people with serious or advancing illness; and hospice care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life in the final months of life. TRU Hospice is accredited by The Joint Commission and supported by national memberships including the National Alliance for Care at Home, the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation, and the Center to Advance Palliative Care.

Beyond direct medical care, TRU provides grief support services including groups, counseling, and community programs for adults, teens, and children coping with loss. These services are available to the community whether or not individuals have used other TRU services. Caregivers receive education, guidance, and emotional support to help them navigate their roles.

TRU's care coordination includes home visits, phone guidance, and in-person support tailored to individual needs. Families receive practical help and clear communication about care options, with ongoing check-ins to ensure families feel informed and supported throughout their journey. Many TRU programs, including hospice and palliative care, may be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance.
