I had back surgery, and my wife works full time. We needed someone to assist me and to help with some household chores. We contacted Touching Hearts for a caregiver until I recovered. On the first referral, we found the perfect caregiver! Her name is Amy, and we don't know what we'd do without her! She is most certainly like a member of the family. Understand that this phrase is often overused, but in Amy's case, it's just the best and only way to describe what she does. She takes me to appointments and very patiently waits for me. She does many things including laundry, cleaning, cooking, and just helping where and when needed. In fact, she typically anticipates what we need, asks, or simply just takes care of it. It's truly amazing how much she does each day! The staff at Touching Hearts is also very courteous, responding to schedule changes promptly. I want to express my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Touching Hearts at Home who cared for my dad over the past several years. For more than three years, caregivers visited his apartment four times a day, becoming a constant and comforting presence in his life. During the final six weeks, when care was needed around the clock, you were there 24/7 — with compassion, patience, dignity, and genuine kindness. Each caregiver who spent time with my dad made a meaningful difference. Your care allowed him to remain in his home, feel safe, and be treated with respect and warmth every single day. There are several caregivers who especially touched my heart, but truly, all of you became part of our family. I will never forget the comfort it brought me knowing he was in such loving hands. Touching Hearts at Home was an invaluable help to caring for my aged parents. They provided services at 10 Wilmington Place that made it possible to have my dear Stepmother to stay at home in her independent apartment. When she became more dependent, I thought I was going to have to help her with her shower so that it would be done slowly with great care. After working with Hearts for three showers, I knew I could take that task off my plate because they had the skill and kindness to work with her. The communication with the office was easy and the care partners were excellent. When my Dad was dying, Hearts supplemented his needs in the most caring way and made it possible for him to die at home in the apartment with his wife beside him. They provided the amazing service of a death doula when he was dying. The doula continued bereavement care with my Stepmother until she needed the doula for her own death almost a year later. We are very grateful for the care provided by Touching Hearts.

I would absolutely recommend Touching Hearts to anyone needing care for a loved one. They cared for my mom for 3 years and never missed a shift. Every caregiver was dependable, caring and compassionate. Always friendly and professional, too, even when things were difficult. We struggled to find reliable coverage with qualified staff in a rural area, but Touching Hearts came through every time. They are the best, hands down!
