This place should be bulldozed. There are members of the staff whom should have charges brought against them for neglect, lying and improper care. And for misinforming family members about what is supposed to be provided by the facility. The patients are left in a wheelchair longer than they should be. Patients not having their diapers changed for long periods. If you have a family member that you want to just leave in a facility and not care about them, then this would be the place. This rating system is flawed. It should have a 0 rating. I hope the state closed this place down .

We receive a call last night from my father inlaw stating he had not had his meds since 2 pm. Mind you he is there for back surgery and should have received his pain meds every 4 hours. He received the 8 hours later after my husband and I went to the facility and raised cane. I took lots of pictures of this facility and tried to get a picture of the roach crawling on the floor but it was to fast. The front door is broken, anyone can just walk in..... We did! O wish I could post rhe pictures they are unbelievable. The staff is extremely rude and has no business working with our loved ones. This place, this hell needs to be closed down. No phones in the patients rooms. Poor people have to ask for a cordless phone from the hallway if they want to reach their loved ones. God only knows how many germs are one that phone.

My grandmother has been there twice now and she's had to be takin back and forth to DePaul hospital because of the care. The staff is completely rude and honestly seem to not care about their patients or their needs. Nobody will even change her bandage on her knee from knee surgery let alone clean it. Along with the nurses staff being very rude to family and patients they are keeping my grandmother medicated highly so all she will do is sleep so they don't have to be bothered. Huge disappointment.

I'm standing here in the hallway, waiting for my grandfather to be changed. He's in there screaming, and while he's screaming there's another older man, WW2 Vet in his wheelchair in the hallway. The nursing literally doesn't say excuse me or anything but shoves his wheelchair out of her way to get into a patient's room. I've been here at least 50 or more times and everytime I come in here the staff are gossiping and talking about nonsense instead of taking care of the patients the way they should be. I would not recommend this dump to anybody at all, so if you're reading the reviews and trying to pick a place to put your loved ones, keep this dump off your radar. I would give it 0 stars if it were possible. Then again, we are in Norfolk. Everything in Norfolk is trash except for a few nice areas. Hope you read this and made your decision wisely.

I work in EMS transport, and this has to be one of the worst nursing homes that I've ever seen. Every time I walk in the staff is rude and sitting down gossiping. I had a question about a patient we were transporting and they made me wait until they were done gossiping. UNACCEPTABLE patient care. The patients there are never ready even for a scheduled transport. If you have considered placing your loved ones in here, they would be better cared for living in your back yard in a shed.
