Again macaroni! Let our administration and chef in the kitchen explain the last week menu: pea soup and different types of macaroni! May be we need to find more professional chef? Today is December, 21, 2025. The season of the holidays . I’m here already three months. I would like to tell about my day in the same place . I’m am not feeling well because of the high blood pressure. In the morning I get my regular dose of medicine against the high blood pressure. This time the medicine was not helping well. In lunchtime I’ve asked Melissa, she’s responsible for medicine, to help me . Her answer was negative. She can’t make her own decisions ( she is right), but because of holidays the doctor is not here. I don’t understand: there is not an urgent doctor? She offered me to call 911 and to bring to the hospital. I refused. We have urgent help here and for me, a handicapped 77 years old woman is not easy to go, as we have an alternative way. But in this place no alternative for some people. I have to bring my own supply ( because when I need something I need to beg , probably my own supply which they keep by nursing room, goes to someone else. How come! Let me keep my own supplies in my room, as most people do. I was promised to talk to dietitian. Just promise. I’m a 9/ 11 Survivor, a have a lot of incurable illnesses . The doctors from Manhattan special clinics gave the list of my illnesses. I didn’t try to show them. But I can realize that they supposed to have for me more attention. Would you like to explain me my rights! Other wise the administration will talk to those specialists, who establish the foundation for 9/ 11,survivors with different types of cancer. By the way more information. No sugar for me. Thank you, I almost got diabetes 2 Good care! Would you like to reimburse money, which my kids spent for me to make your life prosperous. No difference in menu in a new 2026.

My dad has alzheimers and was in a local rehab for 5 months. The rehab told me there was no way they could release him to live alone without 24 hr care. They told me to look for an assisted living because he is still very independent. I took him with me to look at a few places. Waterford totally stood out compared to other places we visited. Moving him here has positively impacted his quality of life. He talks to so many other residents. When he was home he only left his house for doctor appointments. The staff is so so friendly, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile. He has formed friendships with fellow residents and looks forward to the daily activities, which include games, exercise classes, and movie nights. The facility's location is convenient for me. The medical team is responsive, they keep me updated even in the middle of the night if he is having a rough day, and ensures his health needs are met promptly. I appreciate the open communication from the staff and their dedication, especially to someone with alzheimers, because he is not always the easiest to deal with.

My grandmother moved into Waterford on the Bay about 6 months ago. I wanted to wait to write an honest review. Our family was immediately impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. The facility is clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and homelike atmosphere (my grandmother is OCD about cleanliness, so this was a major plus). Her room offers a beautiful view, which she enjoys daily. The staff is attentive and ensures she receives the care she needs, including assistance with daily activities and medication management. She gets her hair and nails done. I love the way she can be pampered without leaving the facility. She is always talking about the activities offered, from arts and crafts to musical performances, which keep her engaged and socially active. The meals are nutritious and cater to her dietary needs (and wants). Overall, Waterford on the Bay has provided a safe and nurturing environment for my grandmother, and we are grateful for the peace of mind it brings our family. We toured several places and this place was the best. Highly recommend!!

Zero stars. My mother is a memory care patient moved to rehab over 3 months ago. Rehab is finished and she is ready to be transferred back to Waterford but Rehab and Nursing center says Waterford is being unresponsive. We called, emailed , and visited the asst Admin Natalia this past week to no avail. My mother has now been moved to a non rehab floor and we are very disconcerted because the rehab/nursing center does not offer memory care. Today, we visited, called, and emailed the asst admin, Natalia but she has been unavailable. They are her representative payee and she has not been discharged. We don't know what to do but hopefully they will see this post and get back to us. Update 2/2025-- The admin sent an email to the rehab so they could tell us my mom would not be readmitted to Waterford. The admins have been unethical, uncaring, unresponsive and very negligent My mother lost over 60 lbs in their care. She almost died because they did not monitor her thyroid condition properly. She fell several times probably as a result of not eating enough. Her last fall in 10/2024 led to a brain bleed. They lost her dentures, her luggage, and all her clothing and did not reimburse. We ended up buying her clothing and took over all her laundry. We have never seen this level of unprofessionalism. We filed a complaint with DOH. We have plwntybof emails documenting their unprofessionalism and lack of ethics.

This place is horrible if your family member suffers from dementia. They leave them sitting in their wheelchairs for hours in the dining area. The play a video and or music on a monitor that's dining room over and over again, instead of physically engaging with them. I intially choose this place for my dad because they said they have memory care and that he would get additional engagement care to stimulate his brain. Well although we paid extra money this, it never took place and literally two and a half weeks after my dad moved in, he got a stage 3 bedsore. I moved him out as soon as he was released from the hospital. Do not move anyone in this place who has dementia or Alzheimer.
