The Village on Morehead is truly something special. The community is beautiful and sophisticated, but what impressed me most are the people and the culture they have created.

The Sales & Marketing team — Kerry O’Connor, Director of Business Development; Jo Dee Archetti, Sales Counselor; Steven Poole, Director of Sales & Marketing; and Lynn Zimmer, SVP of New Development and Sales — brings warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to every interaction. You can tell that relationships truly matter here.

I also want to recognize Chestine McLeod and Zach Ellwood in Life Enrichment. Great senior living is about much more than filling a calendar. It is about knowing people, understanding what gives their lives meaning, and creating opportunities for connection, purpose, wellness, and fun.

And then there are the residents — or, as The Village on Morehead calls them, members. They are some of the warmest, most welcoming, interesting, and wonderfully diverse people I have encountered. There is a genuine sense of inclusion and belonging here.

I also love the philosophy behind their independent living. Members can remain independent, stay active and engaged, and truly age in place while continuing to live life well. The fact that the community is also pet-friendly makes that feeling of home even more meaningful. For so many people, a beloved dog or cat is part of the family, and being able to bring that companionship with you matters.

The location is another tremendous benefit, with easy access to some of Charlotte’s most established neighborhoods, dining, culture, shopping, healthcare, and more.

The amenities and location may initially catch your attention, but the people — and even the pets — are what create the feeling of home.

Five very well-deserved stars for The Village on Morehead, its exceptional team, and the remarkable members who make this community so special.
