My father pays nearly $10,000 per month to live at The Tradition, and the quality of care and services has declined dramatically. Over the past few years, many of the employees who genuinely cared about residents have left or been fired, and it shows. Seems like they are trying to push out the only sincere people they have left. Residents are constantly being charged extra fees and nickel-and-dimed despite the enormous amount they already pay. For 10k a month I don't think my father should be charged a fee to have a subpar meal from the dining room delivered to his room when he's not feeling well. I mean come on!!! One of the most frustrating examples is the condition of the facilities. For a community charging residents thousands of dollars every month, basic amenities like working laundry equipment should not be an issue. I've also witnessed staff entering residents' rooms and handling personal belongings in ways that made families uncomfortable. Items have reportedly gone missing, and concerns raised by residents and families often seem to go unresolved. The people living here are elderly and deserve dignity, respect, safety, and properly maintained facilities. Families trust this community with their loved ones and pay a premium price for that trust. Before committing to this facility, I would strongly encourage families to spend time talking with current residents and their families about their experiences. What's advertised and what's actually being delivered can be very different. I will be looking at other options for my father but wanted to warn others before thinking about this place as an option for their loved ones.
