What Families Think

Signature Pointe is a large continuum-of-care community in Dallas offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing/rehab all in one building. Reviews are sharply divided: many families praise specific therapists, business-office staff, and memory-care caregivers for compassionate, effective care, while a substantial number of others describe serious neglect, unanswered phones, and unsanitary conditions. The large gap between its 4.0 Google rating and 2.6 Yelp rating reflects this inconsistency in experience.

  • Full continuum of care under one roof
  • Rehab/PT-OT therapy frequently praised by families
  • Business office staff praised for insurance/discharge help
  • Memory care staff described as caring and attentive
  • On-site medical staff and medication management

The Bad

  • Numerous reports of unanswered phones during emergencies
  • Multiple reports of slow or ignored call-button response
  • Several reports of missed showers, feeding, and hygiene care
  • Reports of pests (roaches, ants) in resident rooms
  • Large gap between Google (4.0) and Yelp (2.6) ratings suggests inconsistent care

I was sent to signature point after having four fusions in my lower back. I was there for a month but only remember one day they allowed me to become extremely septic and had to call 911 where Hospital had to save my life. I almost died. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Where to begin? Many of the caregivers at Signature Pointe are thieves stealing from the bedridden, most vulnerable residents. Stealing cell phones, chargers, expensive perfume, chair cushions, personal blankets, clothing, etc. No accountability from anyone. Caregivers and staff don't wear name tags, but a name is required in order to make a complaint. A conundrum, isn't it? The fact that they employ an abuse coordinator tells you they have widespread abuse which needs coordinating. One doesn't call a dogcatcher if there are no dogs. Hygiene is a word they can't spell. The food is inedible and sub-par. It breaks my heart that the elderly are treated in this manner. This is not a medicaid facility and the private pay cost to live here is exhorbitant. Patients are wandering the halls in their underwear dragging catheter poles. Visitors wearing hijabs are wandering the hallways asking for face masks. Staff DOES NOT respond to call buttons, but have time to be constantly on their cell phones accessing social media. This place is a thing of nightmares. I do not have one good thing to say about this place. Any good reviews you read likely come from a staff member, an employee of the facility or the owner.

My grandma has been there a couple years and is so happy. I came to an art class they do and saw how much the other people enjoy it too. The Easter brunch was so nice I appreciate all the effort the ladies put in it showed they care. I would for sure recommend to other families

As an outside observer, I have been impressed by the staff at Signature Pointe's physical therapy department, particularly those who go above and beyond in patient care. Meredith is an exemplary employee who consistently demonstrates exceptional skill and compassion. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Tkeyah Crockett's outstanding service. During Kathryn Kehlbeck's occupational therapy session today, Tkeyah provided exceptional care, closely monitoring Kathryn blood pressure and overall well-being when she was feeling unwell. Her dedication and professionalism are a testament to the department's commitment to excellence. The entire staff is truly impressive. Thank you Victor For your amazing Team !!!!!

How can that be an good facility? When people there don't answer the phone. They needs too do better by answering those phones. Instead of letting those phones ring. Really people?
