My name is Ben Glassley. I have been a resident of The Palms at Sun City for about a year and a half. I have been in many senior facilities in the west valley selling Christmas candy for the Kiwanis Club. I saw the Palms the first time when two of my former neighbors, who are now residents, invited me for dinner and to visit their apartments. After two visits, I was convinced I should live here, and I never thought I would live in a senior residence.<br><br>It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my retirement years. My friend and I met with Melissa Long who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about The Palms. She gave us a tour including several apartments. After lunch, I was sold. I was introduced to many members of the staff including housekeepers, department heads as well as wait staff. I was also surprised at how good the meals were, and they continue to be after more than a year. The first thing that impressed me was the friendliness of everyone I met, including staff and residents. I was sold. I did think it over, but not for very long, and I settled on the Boxwood on the 3rd floor.<br><br>I am a proud member of The Palms family, and my family is as happy as I am. And my friend who was with me on my tour has also taken an apartment, and is moving in the first week of October!
