My mom has lived in Assisted Living out of state for 3 years and it was time to make the change to Memory Care. Change is difficult for anyone, but much more so for these patients. I am so happy with the care at The Palace at Weston; they made the transition easy!<br>I can’t say enough about the activities staff! Justin is so creative and his enthusiasm is always at 100%. Trust me, you have never met anyone like him! Whether he is singing (which he does all day long-btw he has a great voice), dancing or telling stories, he is always finding new ways to connect with the residents. They spend the entire day doing a variety of games, sing-a-longs, crafts, trivia, movements and more! All of the senses are stimulated-even smell and tactile with aromatherapy and touching different fabrics. Hilda in activities is so kind and inventive with her games. She has a gentleness which really appeals to these seniors! Both Justin and Hilda are full time-which is unheard of in Memory Care. There is a different professional “Happy Hour” performer every day and a special event for families/residents each month and they are elaborate!<br>Raz Gonen, the manager, is very visible and accessible. His standards are high! He actively seeks feedback from family members and is so easy to talk with. He sincerely strives to make The Palace the best-which it is.<br>The MC is very well staffed with nurses who have a personal connection with the residents. They prioritize keeping them clean and dry which is so important for these patients (if needed, they are checked for “accidents” about every two hours).There are 44 residents and all of the staff know their different needs and personalities. Dementia can contribute to some challenging behavior. I am at the facility just about every day and I am so impressed with the kindness and skill that the nurses demonstrate.<br>You have to see this place to believe it-truly like a five star hotel. The lobby is always staffed with friendly professionals who are very helpful and knowledgeable. They also control the secure doors which keep these patients from wandering. The food is very good and the service is restaurant style.<br>This is a secure, beautiful facility where your loved one is mentally stimulated, kept clean (did I mention daily showers?), safe and nourished. It can be stressful to visit someone in memory care but The Palace has done everything possible to make it pleasant. Complimentary ice cream too!<br>Btw all residents receive an elaborate birthday dinner for ten guests (the food was great and one of our guests is a chef) in one of the private decorated dining rooms. It’s a birthday gift from The Palace.

Oh my Gd Ana McKinney is a God sent she is amazing makes you feel right at home. She is super outgoing bubbly and has a heart of gold. I would recommend to see her for a beautiful stay if you needed any kind of assisted living. From the moment I walked in she comes over to you gives you a hug and answers any and all questions you have please visit her she’s always available. I’ve never experienced a more kind hearted individual in my life!!!

My husband has been at the Palace Memory Care for over 3 years. During the first years the experience was mixed. The setting, food and entertainment great. But I wasn't happy with the residents' care. The first noticeable difference in this<br>respect came when my husband came under the care of Vitas. The doctor and the nurse assigned to him, Aimee, are very caring and follow up thoroughly. This marked an important difference.<br><br>As time has gone by, things have changed for the better. This is particularly the case during the last 3-4 months. The quality of the personnel, basically the CCNs, has improved. They are less rowdy, much softer, caring and sweeter. I have noticed they look after the residents, making sure that they eat and helping them patiently if they don't do so appropriately. Residents are talked to, given smiles and touched with delicacy and warmth. The recently appointed manager, Raz, seems to have something to do with this. He is open to the families, willing to hear the issues and look for satisfying solutions if reasonable.<br><br>I hope this positive path continues, as I truly believe the owners' wish is to maintain The Palace Memory Care as a first class rated facility, in every sense of the word.
