Moving one’s parent from their home to Assisted Living can be difficult on many levels. When I moved my Dad, it really did help that he was moving to such a beautifully kept facility. Once there ALL the staff from management, to the nursing staff, to all the employees were so friendly and kind. They are warm and helpful and treat the residents with dignity. It is such a plus to have an RN on staff when health related issues arise. They work with you on the move-in process and make it easy. Same with when the move-out happens. If you are looking for a beautiful, professional with excellent staff to help with an aging loved one. The Inn at University Village is a top of the line choice.

I have been consistently impressed by and thankful for The Inn at University Village and all the staff there. My mother-in-law has resided there for approximately 10 months so far. She has numerous and complex medical issues, including dementia, and she does not have an accurate perception of her own health, mental health, and ability to take care of herself. To be completely honest, she can be very difficult to be around, and she rarely accepts help. With all that being said, my husband and I were concerned about finding a living situation for her. I am so happy that we landed on The Inn at University Village. This facility does NOT in ANY way look, feel, or smell like what you might imagine an assisted living facility to look, feel, and smell. It is not only clean, comfortable, and inviting, it is homey. It doesn’t feel like a hospital or a “nursing home.” But beyond the look and feel of the community, every interaction I have had with staff has been wonderful. I feel like they care about our family, not just my MIL. Believe me, it is not a walk in the park taking care of her. She is stubborn, resistant to help and receiving care, prone to refusing meds, and sometimes downright cold and unkind. My husband and I were burnt out and bone-deep exhausted. I cannot adequately express the weight this community has taken off our shoulders. We can breathe easy knowing she is safer than she has ever been, and she is receiving as much help as possible. If you are on the fence about finding an assisted living community, it’s honestly worth a visit to see if this is the right place for your loved one.

Just moved in the in-laws in a rather expedited manner. Staff was top notch from sales, office, nursing to maintenance. I would start listing names but would feel bad missing one person cuz they were ALL great. This points to great hiring, great training, ongoing accountability, compassionate staff...and lastly, the great residents who were very welcoming. Hopeful this continues throughout their new life at the Inn.

My mother was a The Inn at University Village for over a year until her passing. She was very happy living here and really enjoyed the beautiful setting and the caring staff. As a family, we found the staff, from the top administrator on down, to be incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions or issues we might have. My mother truly felt at home here and that brought a sense of peace to the family.

My parents just moved here from their hometown of over 50 years, and the transition has been even better than we had hoped. Some of the things that have made the move a success are the kind and professional employees (including management, CNAs, nurses, dining staff, and receptionists), the beautiful atmosphere, and the delicious food. My parents feel safe and cared for, which gives all of our family peace of mind. Family involvement is encouraged, and communication with all staff members has been excellent. On the first day here, my mom said, "The food is so good, that it makes it [the move] all worth it!" Update 12/7/2024 We're grateful to the staff for being welcoming to our family. Our dad passed away recently, and we were able to all get together for an extended amount of time in the large rooms shown in these pictures.
