There should really be an option for zero stars because this place doesn’t even deserve one. I have a loved one getting care at this facility and it’s honestly so unfortunate. The staff does not care for the patients. I’m not sure if they are selective on who they care for based on the comments but every patient should be treated well and the same. After reading the horrible comments about this place, all I can do is agree. Staff doesn’t answer the phone, how am I supposed to know if my loved one is okay and alive? They are no where to be found when needed for help, patients are left in piss and not well. They say someone will be there shortly but nobody arrives. I will privately be getting my lawyers involved cause if you complain to the staff, they get mad and treat them worse and as I said, EVERYBODY SHOULD BE TREATED WELL AND WITH CARE. If you love someone who is in here, please discharge them asap

I had a wonderful experience at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Great Neck. From the moment I arrived, I felt well cared for and supported. The nursing staff and aides were kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The therapy team, especially OT and PT, were excellent—they encouraged me every step of the way and played a huge role in my recovery. I also appreciated the financial department, who were very helpful and made the process much easier to understand. Overall, I’m very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of rehabilitation. Catherine Corrado

The tour was all positive. It was downhill from there. NO security, people wandered in at all times of day and night. At night on most nights not a night nurse to be seen or found. The promised scheduled showers were never on the schedule. Food was horrible. Getting a cup of ice water was an all day procedure. The only good thing was the ot and pt girls I saw twice. Thank God I was able to help myself. People wander in your room while your sleeping and you have to ask them to leave. One lady was going thru my closet at 1am. Needless to say, I washed in the bathroom even my hair daily. I had family bring me food and I discharged myself. If ever I need it again I will go back to Burke Rehabilitation in Westchester, where you are treated like a human being .

We placed my 98-year-old grandmother here when she was discharged from the hospital this past month, trusting that she would be cared for and treated with compassion. Of course, the health of my grandmother was the number one priority. So when we were making a choice of which facility would be best, we decided to go to the Grand at Great Neck after a tour. During the time she was there, the staff made sure she was safe, comfortable, and looked after around the clock. she did not have any falls while in the facility team she was always kept safe by the staff. The nurses and manager team reassured us that she was eating and being supported, even though she cannot feed herself, and they were always there to assist. The facility and floor were very clean. We were able to have her seen by a neurologist in house, the staff continued to keep us informed and guided us through the process. When her condition changed, they acted quickly, and thanks to their support we were able to get her to the hospital for further treatment without delay. We were comforted to know that the nurses were attentive, engaged, and always checking in — showing genuine concern for her well-being. Anytime we needed to check in we would call the front desk and speak with the nurses on the unit. We are grateful that she spent this past month in their care, where she was kept safe, comfortable, and treated with dignity. The staff went above and beyond to keep her room in order and to ensure her needs were met daily. Their kindness and attentiveness gave us peace of mind, and we truly appreciate the dedication they showed. Each person were treated as an individuals and not as numbers. My advice to other families is this: you can trust your loved ones here, knowing they will be well cared for and treated with respect in this amazing atmosphere. We are thankful for the positive experience and the care my grandmother received. Should we ever need to return we will definitely be returning to the Grand. I highly recommend this facility .

If you're searching for a place where your loved one will be treated with dignity, compassion, and professionalism, The Grand at Great Neck should be at the top of your list. Whether it's your mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, or close friend, entrusting someone else with their care is one of the most important — and emotional — decisions a person can make. I've witnessed the incredible work being done at The Grand at Great Neck, and I can say with complete confidence that this is a facility where your loved one will not only be cared for but genuinely valued. The nursing and clinical staff are nothing short of exceptional. They are attentive, gentle, and truly tuned in to the needs of every individual. Patients are treated with patience and warmth, not just medically but emotionally as well. The way the nurses interact with residents—remembering small preferences, offering comfort during tough moments, and maintaining a respectful tone at all times—makes a world of difference. The rehabilitation team is equally impressive. Their therapists work tirelessly to help each resident reach their fullest potential, whether it's recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. They combine technical expertise with positive encouragement, helping patients regain strength, independence, and confidence at their own pace. I've seen residents come in with limited mobility and leave stronger, happier, and more motivated than ever. What truly sets The Grand at Great Neck apart, though, is the administration. The leadership team is hands-on, visible, and always approachable. Whether it’s the administrator, director of nursing, admissions team, or social workers, every member of the administration operates with a sense of accountability, compassion, and pride in their facility. They don't just oversee operations—they are actively involved in making sure every resident and family feels heard, respected, and supported. They communicate openly and professionally with families, and they’re always willing to listen and work with you on any concerns, questions, or needs. In a world where communication can often be a weak point in healthcare, this team goes above and beyond to build trust and maintain transparency. The facility itself is also beautiful, clean, and uplifting. There’s a strong emphasis on keeping the atmosphere vibrant and positive, with regular activities, entertainment, and opportunities for social interaction. It feels more like a caring community than an institution. The Grand at Great Neck is more than just a rehab or nursing facility — it’s a place where families can feel true peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in good hands. If you're considering care options, I can't recommend this place highly enough. They set the standard for what excellent healthcare and rehabilitation should look like.
