My wife and I visited the Carrollton today for my parents , and we got a tour from Candice. We were both so impressed with her knowledge of assisted living in general, and her compassion but also straightforward approach. We came away much more knowledgeable moving forward, and we were impressed with the Carrollton facility.

They could do more for my mom. I had two simple important requests and both requests have been ignored and not carried through. These requests concern her health and well-being. My mother who is 94, is behind paying her rent. There are issues regarding payment and I wish STEVE in billing would better communicate with family so we could get The Carrollton paid. I thought her rent had been paid. No call from Steve telling me it had NOT been paid. My mother was living independently previous to her move The Carrollton 4.5 months ago. I think she is mostly happy but her decline in 4.5 months is significant.

My wife, who has late stage dementia, moved to the Memory Care part of The Carrollton a short while ago. Jen, the person who provided the information about the place and helped with the transition paperwork was great. The physical facility is very clean and very nice. Upon moving the nurses and assistants on the third floor, and in general, have been quite attentive to her needs, very helpful and always friendly. The food is as good as one can expect for such a facility and is heated individually for her once she is ready to eat. Overall there is a calming atmosphere with the other residents seeming content. The price is very competitive with other memory care facilities that cost the same or more with a level of service that is not as high as at The Carrollton.

My father’s health declined so rapidly due to lack of competent nursing care he was admitted to the hospital just two weeks after being placed there.. I meet a couple of times with the Director of Nursing and the Executive director and nothing changed. My father fell and they did not notify me. The outpatient home health OT found him bleeding and called me. They did not weigh my father or give him his diuretics correctly and he gained 17 pounds of fluid in two weeks. He was short of breath, abdomen distended and his leg were weeping fluid. I have moved him to another facility and the nursing staff is very caring and competent. The staff at the Carrollton lacks caring and competency.
