Glad to see this place is still around, my grandmother was here for the last part of her life before she passed 21 years ago. Idk if anyone that was on staff will ever read this, but thank you for giving Betty Jackson a good environment, no matter how long ago that was.

In Arlington, discovering The Carlin was like finding the needle in haystack! We sought a modest apartment for our mom to live in that she could afford on a fixed income. So it was a pleasant surprise to find The Carlin had all the amenities she was seeking: modern 1 BR units with in-house laundry and social activities. The Carlin offers independent living options but also has a social worker on staff to assist if needed. Ms. Gladden, the manager, was most helpful when it came to discussing our needs and helping us navigate the needed steps to obtain a unit.

It's a wonderful building, full of surprises! Clean, nice, full of light, and with extremely courteous and helpful management. The application process was a smooth and the manager, Ms. Maxine, was updating us at every step. Moving in was a breeze, everyone going out of their way to help. Absolutely outstanding experience. And living here is amazing. It is settled in an extraordinary area, full of entertainment, dining, hospitality, and any service you may need.

My mom moved into this community last week and though I am close by I wanted to be sure she was in a safe and clean environment. I must say the process from start to finish was a 5-star experience. Ms. Gladden, the property manager was extremely knowledgeable and ensured a smooth move-in and transition. The grounds are kept beautifully! There is a front desk concierge and several amenities for the 55+ residents to enjoy...library/computer office, multi-purpose room, outdoor garden for residents; and on-site laundry facility. My mom is very active and I like the fact that everything in the area (grocery store, Target, diners and coffee shops, banks and town center shopping) are all walkable. Also the metro is close by and its minutes to Ronald Reagan National Airport. I highly recommend this apartment community to anyone 55+ looking for their next home.
