While this facility may appear attractive on the surface, my family’s experience over more than four years tells a very different story. My father was a resident there, so these comments are based on firsthand experience — not a short-term impression.
In our experience, the facility has experienced significant administrative and staffing turnover, which appears to have negatively impacted consistency, communication, and overall quality of care. Despite the promises made during the sales process, we found that the facility often struggled to deliver the level of service, compassion, and attention that elderly residents and their families deserve.
My biggest disappointment was my interaction with the current Executive Director. Based on my experience, I found her to be unprofessional and lacking the empathy, compassion, responsiveness, and respect that residents and their family members deserve. For families making these difficult decisions, those qualities matter just as much as the physical appearance of the building.
Moving an elderly loved one into assisted living is a major decision, and once they are settled, relocating them can be emotionally and physically disruptive. For that reason, families should perform extensive due diligence before committing.
