Our family was looking for the right place for my aunt, and we were referred to The Bluffs. On very short notice, we arrived at The Bluffs to meet with Kimberly Mattix. During a time when our family was feeling stressed and overwhelmed, Kimberly made everything feel calm and manageable. She was incredibly compassionate, empathetic, and attentive to our aunt’s needs and to what our family was looking for.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by all of the staff, which immediately helped me feel more at ease. Everyone was kind and caring, and it was clear that the residents well-being was a priority. Once my aunt arrived, the care she received from Alveena and Tamye reassured me that we had made the right choice. They were so attentive and caring toward my aunt, and I am truly grateful for the compassion they showed her.
Bonnie was also such a delight. She went above and beyond to check on my aunt and continually reassured our family that she was in good hands. Her kindness and genuine care meant so much to us during such a difficult time.

I also want to recognize Anastasia, one of the dining servers. She was so kind, friendly, and thoughtful. She remembered our family members and would check in to see how everyone was doing. Those small gestures meant so much to our family and made us feel seen and cared for.

The Bluffs truly feels like a family-oriented and compassionate place. I am so thankful to Kimberly, Alveena, Tamye, Bonnie, Anastasia, and the entire staff for welcoming my aunt and treating her with such kindness, dignity, and care. Our family is so grateful to have found The Bluffs!

The Bluffs has been wonderful for my Mom! You know you're in a great place, when all of the Staff is always in a great mood, and ALL of the guests are happy to be there! It's not an easy transition for an elderly person used to living alone, to move into a retirement community. But everyone at the Bluffs is helping her be comfortable! Extra Kudos to Elizabeth, who brought my Mom flowers after her surgery, to check in how she was doing. Definitely a sweet gesture, and meant a LOT!

What a wonderful place this is! We were looking for a place to bring our 89 yr old mother to from Georgia so she can be closer to us and we are so glad we decided on The Bluffs. It came down to several things that made the decision for us but one that really sealed the deal was the staff we encountered during our initial visits. Kimberly Mattix (it blew our mind to meet her and find out we had the same last name but not related) was absolutely such a charm to work with! She did an excellent job of listening to us and helping us determine what would work best for our dear mother. When we had questions during the decision process we could always call Kimberly and get the answers we needed to make our decision. Her attentiveness to the things most important to us made this a very pleasant experience! Other notable items that really helped to make our decision were the on-site physical therapy facility, the large number of daily activities available for residents, the food and dining options and the cleanliness and beauty of the entire campus! Flagstaff has several great options for assisted living facilities but The Bluffs was the clear winner for us after a fairly exhaustive search to find the perfect place for our dear mother!
