I don’t have the words for how grateful I am for the excellent care that every single person provided to my Veteran family member and my whole family at the Flagstaff campus Arizona State Veterans Home. They provided personal attention, including knowing how my family member liked his coffee, and his taste in music and interests. They thought outside the box and came up with different ideas to try to make him as happy and comfortable as he could be. Every single person provided competent, kind, personal care, and honor. I was blown away by the honor. The care wasn’t just for my Veteran family member but also for the entire family, and it was obvious to me that for the staff it is not just a job but an act of service. This includes everyone: admin, business, social work, security, maintenance, housekeeping, the three therapies, nutrition, and of course the nurses and CNAs did everything with thoughtful attention, kindness, honor and a smile.
