Gone Without Hope
May 2026
I recently lost my home to fire. Big home with 16 people. We were tight knit family helping each other out. I was transported to hospital and a week later i needed some place to go and was offered to go to the Blossoms for recovery and rehab. I've had 7 strokes and spent my time in facilities allways bad experiences. Once I got to the Blossoms I was immediately made to feel welcomed and Tonya the administrator got me some clothes. They didn't have allot in their closet that would fit me so she went to a thrift store to make sure I was supplied with clothing. I Almost immediately felt a feeling of family with their incredible staff and the residents that I met that were always positive about having to live there. Did I mention incredible staff. I was a CNA Years ago and did some heavy prn work at nursing homes those experiences along with the four facilities that I had to go to for rehab each spending close to a year. I have always encountered CNA's that were basically on the floor to collect a paycheck and their performances as caregivers were never acceptable. Not at the Blossoms. The CNA's were nothing if not professional and empathetic. Unlike other facilities I saw absolutely zero patient neglect or abuse which is pretty impressive with it being a nursing home The nursing staff was very good at their jobs especially my rock star Regina and the wound treatment nurse , Vanessa both of whom deserve an accommodation. Sadly mistakes happen and combined with insurance changes, I chose to leave. I haven't been able to get back over thereto collect the few things that I wasn't able to get the night I left. I wish I could get over there to pick up my massage gun and 9 packs of cigarettes. I had a friend go by thereto collect them and whomever she encountered chose to be ugly to her and wouldn't give her my property. Other than the bad ending experience. The Blossoms of Hot Springs is 6 stars and would be recommended to anyone who has to have skilled care.
