My husband has early onset FTD. He recently went for a respite stay at the Arbors. We were nervous as he is our world and wanted the best for him. Taking that in context, it’s not home and the staff are trying their best. If you have a LO with dementia you know it’s the most difficult job to do everything perfectly and that’s when it’s 1:1 at home. Imagine helping many at one time! We didn’t know what to expect in this situation. However, the nurses, aids, administration, and others, including Maggie (permanent resident dog) exceeded our expectations. They were all friendly, caring, and always present! They were always helping a resident in one way or another. The staff at the Arbors of Bedford (NH) are a pleasure and certainly giving their all to the residents. Be compassionate and understanding! These people are appreciated and supported by my family!

My brother and sister in-laws, mother and sister visited him. Another sign of a great place, stop in anytime!

What a phenomenal facility. They treat the residents so well, the training they give their staff truly prepares each member to handle situations appropriately. I can’t say enough about redirection capabilities by every staff member I have interacted with (facilities, cooking staff, aides, nurses, literally everyone). They promote fluid intake constantly and the food is actually nutritious not a carb heavy cheapest meal possible that you find at other facilities. The staff say this to me all the time this is the residents home and letting the residents enjoy everything they have to offer. I am upset with myself that I didn’t get my dad in here sooner it’s such a positive environment for him and he is thriving.

I reached out to Arbors of Bedford to ask for some information regarding a family member of mine. While Arbors ultimately was not able to help me with my unique situation, I have to share that I was deeply moved and touched by the interaction that I had with Shannon, the Executive Director.

I was in the throes of a very emotional process of understanding that the level of care needed for said family member was beyond what we could provide. Shannon graciously not only called me back at 5pm on a Friday, but she was patient, kind, and caring and walked me through some resources even though Arbors was not the right fit. At that moment in time I needed a listening ear more than anything and Shannon provided that.

While this may be something she does every day in her role, the process of navigating these difficult conversations is a first for us. If my interaction with her is any reflection of how she runs her facility - and the level of care there - I would trust a family member here in a heartbeat. Thank you Shannon ❤️

I absolutely love The Arbors. I am a professional who refers or receives refers from other professionals and I always recommend The Arbors. Staff are amazing, Shannon (ED) is so incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Cassie is marketing, no one better! They all love their residents and community. From someone who has relationships with all assisted livings and nursing homes within the state, trust me, moving into/moving in a loved one into The Arbors is like buying the candy bar with the golden ticket in it… BRAVO to the whole community!!!

My mom has been living at Arbors for almost a year now and it's been a great experience overall. The staff is welcoming and I love seeing the managers out and about with the staff and residents. They have a dog too! Nothing like being greeted by a sweet lab named Maggie. Programs are 7 days a week and nurses is there around the clock. If my mom declines, she doesn't have to move. The building is older, but Arbors has been around for at least a decade, so it goes to show how good they are. My Mom isn't always easy, but they have no issues caring for her. Angels!
