As a family member, I wanted to recognize Stephanie, the Unit Aide, for the incredible difference she makes every day. From the moment she walks onto the unit, she brings such warmth and positivity that you can see the patients light up when they see her. It’s obvious how much they enjoy her company, and she always greets everyone with a smile and a kind word. Stephanie goes above and beyond to make sure the patients have everything they need. Whether it’s something as simple as making them comfortable, checking in on them, or taking the time to listen, she never makes anyone feel like they’re a burden. She genuinely cares, and it shows in everything she does. As family members, it’s comforting to know our loved ones are cared for by someone who treats them with such kindness, patience, and respect. Stephanie’s compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed. She is a true asset to the team, and we are incredibly grateful for the love and care she gives to every patient she meets. Thank you, Stephanie, for making such a positive impact. Your kindness brightens the days of so many patients and their families, and you are deeply appreciated. You are truly one of the special people who make a difficult time a little easier. As a family member, I wanted to take a moment to recognize Nurse Cheri for the incredible care and compassion she shows every single day. From the moment we met her, she treated our loved one with such kindness, patience, and respect. She always took the time to answer our questions, explain things clearly, and make us feel like we truly mattered. What touched us the most was how genuine she is. You can tell that nursing isn’t just a job for Cheri—it’s her calling. She goes above and beyond for her patients and treats them like family. During a stressful time, her compassion brought us comfort and peace of mind. We also couldn’t help but notice how appreciative she is of the CNAs she works with. She always thanks them for their hard work and treats them with respect. Seeing that kind of teamwork and leadership reassured us that our loved one was in the best hands possible. Our family is deeply grateful for everything Cheri has done. She is the kind of nurse every family hopes to have caring for someone they love. Thank you, Cheri, for your dedication, your heart, and for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients and their families. You are truly a blessing.

My mom, Aurelia, had a mostly pleasant experience at Taconic rehab. The rehab staff was excellent and caring. We need to make mention of her aid as they do so much and sometimes are not recognized enough…from the first day Iasha stood out as she smiled, she took her time to pay attention to my mom, to make her feel special and valued…she was always there for us and never complained about doing work that demands a “special” kind of person. My mom really liked her…thank you, Iasha! You are a great employee!! The nurses too were very kind and supportive. Thank you.

It’s been 10 years since I had to visit this facility and I have to admit it is a huge improvement overall! The atrium, the Driveway, the parking lot, the lobby, the rooms and in the hallway look great and smell great. There’s still room for improvement, Though. It’s time to take better care of the patients/residence… Those that clearly are unable to bathe themselves, Smell like they haven’t had a bath in over a week. And fresh clothes every day would be bringing dignity back to people. Thank you for reading!

The receptionist once again was absolutely fantastic. Couldn’t ask for anyone more kind, considerate and upbeat. I did have to ask for some information from the nurses on the ground floor at the nurse station and they were very funny and upbeat. All three of them deserve a nice Shout out. When I was visiting my friend Marc, the occupational therapist said hello to him, which was very encouraging that he is getting the care that he needs. Everyone I came in contact With was extremely kind, professional and caring. Great facility top-notch employees thank you for having the best.❤️

I am very disappointed with the way this facility is managed. From the start, I experienced extremely poor communication regarding my grandmother’s care. I was given misleading and incomplete information and felt like I was constantly being given the runaround instead of clear answers. It also seems that the director and nursing staff pick and choose who they want in the facility, rather than treating all families with fairness, respect, and transparency. Families place their trust in facilities like this to care for their loved ones, and it is unacceptable for staff to control or manipulate situations involving people’s parents or grandparents. The lack of honesty and professionalism I experienced has left me with serious concerns about how this place operates. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who wants their loved one to be treated with compassion, respect, and open communication. — Katrina Colleton
