5 star reviews...are you kidding me? If I could give ZERO stars I would. There were a FEW people that actually cared about the patients and their well being, but overall, the caregivers at this facility are LAZY! After 2 wks at this facility, my family member ended up in the ER. At the hospital we were informed that MULTIPLE bed sores were present. If you have ever worked in health care or know anyone that has, you know that multiple bed sores are inexcusable. If the 'professionals' are doing their jobs and turning patients every few hours, then bed sores should not be an issue and certainly not multiple bed sores. I witnessed, first hand, patients (my family member included) 'pushing the call button' and waiting 40 minutes or more for assistance, or residents yelling for help and nobody helping. This place is awful! It makes me sick to my stomach that there are so many people in this facility that have no family and no voice and the vast majority of the employees don't give a crap about these folks. I am calling the state with what we experienced. I'm hoping someone will take action for the patients that have no one to advocate for them. I would rather live in a sleeping bag, on a sidewalk than be transferred to this facility. Also, be sure to read the state report on how the evacuation plan went for hurricane evacuation. If I had seen that I would have NEVER trusted my loved one in their care. Absolutely disgusting!

We had a wonderful 3 months experience here at the Sunset Lakes Rehab with my client Vincent Minora. The staff is superb, and the Rehab is immaculate. The food is good and you leave here with a wonderful feeling of being given great care by new friends.

My husband is a resident at sunset lake health and rehab. He is in skilled right now. The staff have been very helpful. The facility is kept clean. Therapy is wonderful. I would recommend sunset lake to friends and family

I was unexpectedly admitted here following unsuccessful joint replacement and have found the facilities to be first rate. I’m impressed by every facet of the care provided by the staff, from the nursing care to all ancillary services. I think highly of the physical therapy staff and admire the skills and dedication they apply as they care for each and every resident as though they were a family member. The quality of care provided by all members of this facility make the experience worthwhile. I’ve found it’s been an ideal way to transition from my hospitalization to my daily life of residing in an ALF and would recommend it to anyone in need of a supportive and caring environment.

My experience at Sunset Lake Health and Rehabilitation center. This is my third time here at this facility, I recommend sunset lake to who ever needs rehab and nursing care. The food here is has shown a remarkable improvement since the last time I was here. The staff consisting of nurses and cnas are very helpful. The department heads are helpful with my needs. Physical Therapy are on top of my treatments so I can gain my independence back. I have no complaints whatsoever.
