We’re a close-knit group at Sunrise of Westlake Village, where the feeling of community in our classically elegant home is very strong. Our dedicated, experienced caregivers, culinary and housekeeping teams bring positive energy and a sense of security to our residents. Sunrise residents are offered a wide variety of enjoyable onsite activities and local excursions. From live entertainment to bocce ball and margaritas, and from current event discussions to daily exercise classes, the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy a myriad of activities is right at your fingertips.
Our well-manicured grounds offer residents a gentle walking path dotted with park benches, lovely flower beds, rolling lawns, and an inviting gazebo in which to relax, read or just enjoy the great outdoors.

Assisted Living
Sunrise Senior Living Assisted Living is the ideal solution for seniors who value their independence, yet need some help with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing and medication reminders. We focus on individual wellness, and encourage continued independence with a tailored plan of assistance provided by well-trained team members available 24 hours a day. Assisted Living is not only a resident-centered alternative to many nursing homes, but at Sunrise, it is a completely different option to consider when a senior doesn’t require intensive 24/7 skilled nursing care.
Alzheimer's & Memory Care
Sunrise Senior Living's Alzheimer’s & Memory Care Program is focused firmly on the individual and on providing a safe, familiar, yet stimulating environment. Sunrise’s Reminiscence neighborhoods are specially designed to provide comfort and security in a separate environment for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other forms of memory loss. Our team is trained to value each senior and to recognize their different preferences and needs. We know that memory loss affects every resident differently and focus on understanding each individual senior to provide care they respond to positively.
Short-Term Stays
A short-term or respite stay is a convenient option when planned or unforeseen circumstances require a temporary separation from your loved one. Knowing they can move seamlessly into an emergency care environment that supports their wellness needs allows peace of mind when you are called away for business or vacation, or if you just need a short break from caregiving.
A respite care stay also offers guests and family members the extra security of personalized care during an illness or rehabilitation after a hospital visit, and may even be helpful before, during, or after an emergency affecting the senior’s home environment, such as an extreme weather event. Many permanent Sunrise residents first experienced our community life during a short-term stay.
Independent Living
Independent living communities are also known as retirement communities, retirement homes or senior housing. Independent senior living is for older adults looking for an active, engaged lifestyle free of day-to-day chores.

Respite Care
Respite care for the elderly is a short-term stay at a senior living community. It is often suggested for seniors who are recovering from a hospital visit or other health circumstance. It’s also available when a caregiver takes an extended vacation or for a senior living trial period. Depending on the community, our respite care services are available for a variety of care levels, including assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.
