Our mother/mother-in-law moved to Independent living 2019. Her rent included one meal per day. She had a kitchen so she was able to fix any other meal she wanted. The staff were wonderful. The cost was very affordable. In 2023 she moved to assisted living. All meals were included and again very affordable. The staff, besides being friendly,bent over backwards to help her in anyway they could. As a family member, knowing that mom was happy and cared for, was very comforting and worry free. A few weeks ago we had to move her to the care center. This cost is more in line with other long term care facilities. When we visit she is always smiling. A lot of her friends are in the care center. She is a social butterfly so she visits everyone. I can’t say enough about the cleanliness, care and the staff. Dan, the manager, is excellent and the communication is spot on. Thank you Traer, Iowa for bringing Sunrise Care Center to town.

We shall see. My family member became a resident here. I will give honest review as time goes on. I’m a bit disappointed that other reviewers have not commented if they have a family member there and if they get sick often or skin sore problems, or dental hygiene issues. If you are reading this and have a family member living there, please make an authentic review.

The administrative and nursing staff make my dad feel at home and maintain his dignity in his seniors years! The transition from living on his own to becoming a resident was seamless and has made Dad happy on his decision to have made the move. Also, my personal experience (hip replacement) with the physical therapy team has been positive with how thorough, thoughful and caring they are! What a great bunch of people!
