Do NOT put your loved one in the memory care facility here! There is absolutely no staff to watch over the residents. The med techs hide in the hallway which leads outside for the residents. I found staff members out there smoking! Folks are in memory care for a reason as they need help with basic day-to-day care. They did not bathe our mother for seven days(non ambulatory) that we know of, which caused our poor mother to get huge-abscess. This warranted a trip to the ER for draining and a severe-infection. Her hair was cut without our permission and butchered by the “activities Director “, what a joke! There are no activities for the memory care residents, only assisted living. There is much more, but you get my point. DO NOT fall for their sales pitch as it is ALL LIES! The place needs to be SHUT DOWN!!

This was absolutely the worst and most heartbreaking experience for our family, in addition to losing our mom a month prior to our dad being placed at Sunflower Springs. I absolutely can vouch for and back up the reviews from Deanna Donnelly and Lee Gans. Don't fall for the flowery sales pitch and fake concern for your loved ones. Our dad was a resident in the memory care facility and was left sitting for hours alone, not reminded to eat or drink. He ended up in the ER and was found to be severely dehydrated which led to kidney failure and he passed away a week later. The medical records on his portal showed concerns and when questioned, all we received were excuses. One of his doctors even prescribed him too much medication that could have caused his death and was called out by another medical worker. Thank gosh my sister demanded him to be removed from his care. Even so, Sunflower Springs did not treat our dad like he mattered at all. He was forgotten, left hungry and thirsty and basic left to wither away but was unable to express his needs and totally at their mercy when family wasn't present. We trusted the most precious thing in our lives to these people who just abandoned him and lied to us while cashing the checks every month in the name of "quality care"! I agree, I would give zero stars if that was an option. DO NOT place your loves one at this facility.

DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF THOSE RECENT REVIEWS. It is so funny all of a sudden they are asking people to review it after they were investigated. This place is still causing us issues almost 2 months later. As far as the positive reviews recently they are so far from the truth I believe this place made those people write it. The one we saw first hand how this man was not taken care of. But yet their is a positive review. What a joke.<br>First things first if I could give 0 stars I totally would. Now if you want your family members taken care of on an everyday basis and not abused please DO NOT send them to the memory care part. This place was an absolute joke. From the director down to the med techs and CNA's. They all lie and try to cover themselves. Only 1 CNA cared about these patients and even agreed there is not enough staff. These poor residents don't do anything except sit there all day. Almost like they are waiting to die. Its is absolutely heartbreaking. No one and I mean no one should be abused and not taken care of. My mother lasted 3 weeks and we couldn't be happier to get her out of that hell hole. Do not fall for the sales pitch at all. They will make it out like its the best place. Not one thing they told us about the place ever happened. So again please DON'T put your family here.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sunflower Springs of Lake Wylie. The care and compassion they showed my mother meant so much to our family. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and treated her with dignity and love every single day.<br><br>The facility itself is always clean, welcoming, and well maintained, which gave us great peace of mind. What also stood out was how affordable the all-inclusive care was compared to many other places we looked into.<br><br>We are truly grateful for the amazing job they did caring for my mother and would highly recommend Sunflower Springs of Lake Wylie to any family looking for quality, compassionate care for their loved one.
