Sun Terrace is a great community that works hard to accommodate seniors who need assistance at different levels of care. If you ever need assistance on who to contact at the facility you should contact Jill Farester. Jill is an amazing liaison who has the dedication and compassion to fill the building. Jill takes the time to build connections to support her community and make sure the patients have the best experience. As an Admissions Director myself it’s so rewarding to work with other facilities and communities who also want to help support our seniors.

I'm the owner of a local business in the area that partnered with Sun Terrace Rehabilitation Center (STRC). STRC contracted my business services for a day as a "thank-you" to their employees. Some things that I found to be of note with my experience are as follows: A representative contacted me and wanted to give me a tour of the center a day prior to our partnered event. This was great because it allowed me to get a handle of the layout of the center and where we'd actually be located. During this tour, I was introduced to many employees (more than 15) and every one of them were welcoming, genuine and happy. The facilities were clean and orderly and the patients appeared to be happy with many activities I saw them participating in. During the day of our partnered event, the staff couldn't have been more enthusiastic to participate and answer any questions I had. I was particularly impressed with the pride the employees had in their level of care for the patients at STRC. I hope to partner with Sun Terrace Rehabilitation Center again in the near future. In the event I, or my family and friends, need rehabilitation services down the line, I'm recommending STRC.

I spent 32 days at Sun Terrace last year after spending 12 days at an acute care facility. The physical therapists were excellent; Colleen and Jessica were exceptional. I mostly saw Heather for occupational therapy and she is excellent — caring, and goes above and beyond to be helpful. The nursing staff in general was good. Three stood out for me—Tony, Ben and Destiny. The CNAs, in my experience, were more responsive during the day. Some were able to keep up with the work but those were few and far between. Sondra was excellent. Possibly, understaffed. There was a shower room where you were taken for showers. I was in a wheelchair and had a full leg brace which had to be removed for the shower and I couldn’t bend my knee or put weight on my leg. I felt very insecure taking a shower. The seats that they used had rollers and were plastic. Something stationery with handle bars to hold on to would have helped. This definitely needs improvement. The food was excellent. There were choices and my dietary needs were met. After discharge, I went to their out patient rehab and it was excellent. They provide transportation if needed as a free service. Terry, who is the coordinator, does an excellent job coordinating your PT/OT and the transportation. I recommend Sun Terrace.
