I recently had the pleasure of visiting Storypoint Senior Living, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the care and attention given to the residents, especially my mom. The staff truly makes a difference, and I want to give a special shoutout to Carrie and Brooke. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Carrie and Brooke are not just employees; they genuinely care about each resident’s well-being. Their warmth and attention to detail have made my mom feel so comfortable and at home. They go above and beyond to ensure she receives the support she needs while also encouraging her independence. Carrie has a remarkable ability to connect with the residents and always knows how to lift their spirits. She engages my mom with various activities and makes sure she participates in everything Storypoint has to offer. On the other hand, Brooke is incredibly organized and ensures that everything runs smoothly, but what stands out most is her compassionate nature. She always takes the time to interact with my mom, making her feel valued and included. Thanks to their exceptional care and the engaging activities they put together, my mom is thriving and enjoying her time at Storypoint. I truly appreciate the dedication and kindness that Carrie and Brooke provide daily. Storypoint Senior Living is fortunate to have such outstanding individuals on their team. I would wholeheartedly recommend this community to anyone looking for a loving and supportive environment for their loved ones.

My wife and I moved her parents into StoryPoint independent living a few months ago. We toured multiple facilities, but StoryPoint stuck out for many reasons: a super friendly staff, a beautiful facility, great apartment size / features, a very active social calendar (can’t miss live music at ‘Thirsty Thursday’), and a ‘feeling’ of belonging that was felt immediately. The tours (thanks Dawn!) and the move-in experience were great and everyone was super friendly - as expected. But now, after visiting around ten times before and after move in day, the positive and inviting culture that Stephanie and her management team have developed is undeniably more than just a gimmick to get you in the door. It is next to impossible to pass an employee or a tenant of StoryPoint without a smile, kind word/gesture, or pleasant conversation. This is really the ‘StoryPoint difference’. My in-laws are thoroughly enjoying their time at StoryPoint - and we sleep better knowing they picked the right place.

Storypoint is a beautiful building in the area with the most welcoming staff to make you feel comfortable and ‘at home’ the moment you walk through the doors. Stephanie the administrator is always very helpful and on top of things for her staff and residents! The DON Natasha also goes above and beyond for her residents making sure they are getting the best quality care. One thing I love about this building is the activity department is always keeping the community lively with elevated events for the residents and their family members if they choose to join! As an individual who frequents the building often, it is truly a joy to come here and help out where I can within the community. I would definitely recommend Story Point Schererville to anyone looking! The leadership team here makes all the difference!

Do not send your loved ones here!!! Especially to their memory care. My grandma was there for less than 3 months before she passed. She was fully ambulatory and physically healthy when she moved in. 3 months there was enough to kill her. They prefer their memory care patients to be sitting in their wheelchairs and not moving. If your loved one is ambulatory do not bring them here. No supervision or care. Staff would just sit at the desk on their phones. What is the point of memory care with no staff supervision? They tried to upsell 1:1 care (for an additional 60k a year, on top of the 12k already a month), because the staff is so incompetent. Also her room was barely cleaned. There were some good workers, but not enough. Another example of money not going into the employees but owners/management. 0/10 would never recommend.

What an absolutely wonderful facility! I can’t say enough positive things ………… having had my parents in various facilities for rehab and short term stays, I am very familiar with where others “fail or fall short” of providing concern, attention, and genuine care to their residents, where cleanliness can be, and sadly was an ongoing issue for me, and a true desire to enhance the lives of their residents was, in my opinion, not at all evident. I found this facility and the staff to be the cream of the crop! They are very best in the industry, well educated, trained, compassionate, and it’s so obvious that each employee really does genuinely care about providing a “home” to the residents. They don’t just provide a home, they provide an unsurpassed level of care and an environment that echoes family. The facility is clean, the food is excellent, the available activities are well planned and planned so that the residents can participate and enjoy the interaction. Do not hesitate to visit Schererville Story Point if you find yourself in the position to find help with a loved one. You will be giving them an unsurpassed quality of life!
