“ oh boy, here we go again” these are the words spoken by my feisty stubborn and can be funny 92-year-old dad who fell had a one week hospital stay heard his back had pneumonia and really did not want to go to rehab again. Dad was in this rehab a year previous he wasn’t happy then either he fought with the PT and the OT and anybody that came in the room yet when he left, he had tears something. I’ve never seen in 60 years. He had tears because he was leaving people that truly cared for him and really made him fight. The nurses the CNA‘s the food staff the laundry people, the concierge administration, and I have to say above all, OT, PT we truly amazing. I hate to put one department above the other, but this is why our friends and our loved ones go to a rehab. This team pushed this grumpy. Old man that gave him sour looks when they walked in treated him with kindness, but were very strict and again when dad was discharged the other day, he had tears when he finally got back to his home. He said to me very quietly. I wish I was back there. I only hope who have ever is reading this review. Your loved one has a chance to stay at Sterling Villiage because you will see great results and you’ll be working with great people and the food wasn’t too bad either. On a scale of 0 to 10 I give this place TEN STARS. Karen Southworth 25 years ER critical care

My mother was only there for a short time, but in that time everyone, from administration to maintenance, was compassionate, caring and treated my mother with dignity.

Mom, who was 92 when she passed, was cared for at Sterling Village for nearly two years and during that time her basic needs were not met to our satisfaction. Over the course of our quarterly meetings we always expressed our concerns but were met with the same response-retraining of staff. We were told by several that Sterling Village was still the best place for our area which is both sad and discouraging. Our observations over this time are that mom's care would have been much better with both increased and better trained staff. Her basic needs including clean teeth, combed hair, assistance with eating, clean clothes when soiled and understanding of her declining health and the needs that went with it were either not understood, ignored or both. Nursing home residents should be treated with far more dignity and respect than what our mom experienced.

This place is amazing!!! My uncle can mostly take care of himself but the staff are always helpful. He always said he rather die than go to a care facility but I guess Sterling Village is the exception. They helped him get a healthier diet and stabilized his medical care. He said they even had a casino day and the myth of losing all his freedom is just that, a myth. I would recommend Sterling Village for any of your loved ones that want and need the extra support.
