If I could give this place a zero I would. Our experience at this nursing facility was heartbreaking, and I would never recommend trusting a loved one to their care. The facility itself was poorly maintained. There were roaches, ongoing leaks from the toilets and sinks, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable for a healthcare environment. The quality of care was even more concerning. Nurses would regularly argue loudly with one another in the hallways in front of residents and visitors. It happened so often that I recorded one of the incidents and showed it to management, but nothing was done to address it. One of the most disturbing experiences involved another resident who was crying out in obvious pain. Staff repeatedly walked past her with little concern, and I overheard someone say they would “just give her Tylenol.” I felt compelled to check on her myself because no one else seemed to be helping. The following day I returned to see how she was doing, only to learn that she had passed away that night. It was devastating to know she spent her final hours seemingly without the comfort, urgency, or compassion every patient deserves. My family also had to be at the facility every single day because we could not rely on the staff to provide consistent care for my father. We frequently found that he had not been properly cleaned or changed, and we often had to advocate for basic care that should have been routine. The final straw came when we noticed that the left side of my father’s face had become paralyzed. We immediately alerted the nursing staff because we believed he was having a stroke. Instead of taking our concerns seriously, a nurse argued with us, insisted we were “misdiagnosing” him, and refused to act. We had no choice but to take him to the hospital ourselves, where it was confirmed that he had suffered a stroke. After he was discharged from the hospital, we immediately transferred him to another nursing facility because we no longer felt he was safe here. No family should have to fight this hard for basic care, cleanliness, compassion, and medical attention. Our experience was unacceptable, and I sincerely hope management makes meaningful changes before another family has to endure what ours did.
