My uncle at 91 scared us when he disappeared in middle of the night and the police brought him home in the cold, shivering, scared to death. We had no other option at last minute. My husband and I were frantic started researching all the nursing homes in the area that had security that would ensure his safety what was topped on the list was starling at San Jose we interviewed with Amy and there happen to be one opening for an apartment in the memory care center. She gave us a tour of the place showed us how secure it was, and I realize that this was the beautiful place that he needed to be there and safe. They’ve been pretty attentive, taking care of him and he’s engaged in adapted appropriately. The place is very inclusive and they have a lot of different family nights. They plan for special occasions and they really encourage family members to be a part of everything the security is top-notch is very clean and again all employees are very responsive to all our needs and demands and we highly recommend this place.

Although searching for a facility for my mother was very emotional, Starling made the transition as easy as possible. They treat her with respect and a warmth I couldn’t be more pleased.They bring dignity to those who need extra care when family isn’t able to provide the care at home anymore. They have all the amenities someone could ask for but we are pleased that the facility presents more like a home than a care facility. We were most impressed that the dining facility also puts on flavorful meals instead of having bland tasteless food. More like a restaurant setting than a dining facility.

I have never seen a facility with the quality of food served here. It is impressive by any standard. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place for a loved one. My father loves it here and we couldn't see him anywhere else.

Starling at San Jose is the perfect place for your loved ones. The directors and staff truly care about the residents, the food is great, and there is always something new to do. The range of activities is amazing. From volleyball to Spanish classes, the team keeps the residents learning and engaged. There really is something for everyone. Shelly is a problem solver. She goes above and beyond to make positive changes and listens to staff concerns. I’m so happy to know that this company exists to care for people during the most vulnerable part of their lives. Keep up the good work, Starling!

Wonderful facility with a caring, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. You can tell they truly care about their residents and go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. Highly recommend!
