My mom went here after a short hospital stay. I will say, the majority of the CNAs were awesome, especially Charles who was always kind and patient with her. The nurses are understaffed and overworked so don't have a lot of time to spend with each patient. I never saw a doctor visit her. The rooms were not kept as clean as I'd like and a few times I visited my mom was sitting in a soiled bed. Communication with the business staff was a nightmare. Having to leave 2 or 3 messages just to get some information was ridiculous. My mom passed away after a month there. I really expected someone from there to call and express their condolences but never heard a word. Even her insurance company sent me a sympathy letter. 2 weeks after my mom passed I received a letter saying her bill was past due. I tried calling them 3 times to get an itemized invoice but they couldn't be bothered to call me back. I finally had to stop in to get a copy. Yesterday in the mail I received the original bill and a letter telling me I was past due and they would send to a collection agency if I didn't pay. My mom hasn't even been dead a month!! Anyway, 4 stars for the medical staff and 2 stars for the business staff who need some training on being more compassionate.

If I would of known what this place was like I would of refused to come here. This place is dirty. The floor hasn't been cleaned nor the trash taken away. The trash can was full when I came and still hasn't been emptied. The bathroom sink needs new fixtures the paper towels are sitting loose on the toilet not in the dispenser on the wall the beds are something else. Just a sheet on an air mattress I asked for padding they don't have any. I was asked if I brought my own blankets. Really. It's a joke to come here. I had to beg to get a chair in this room. I was told the room is too small for a chair. They brought a folding chair. Which I can't use due to having back surgery. Food is another problem. Your better off ordering out today there was yellow cake which is so hard it must of been made last week and left out to get hard. Some of the meat you don't know what it is. There is plaster off of the ceiling needless to say I could go on and on. Don't come here.

A dear friend ended up at Stanley and it was an amazingly great experience for her. The kind, caring, well trained staff really supported her post stroke recovery. Compared to the other places I saw, Stanley seems like a 10 star. A few pieces of clothing went missing so don't bring nice clothes to any of these type of places. The same thing happened to my dad in a different place. Hard to keep track of laundry I guess. It was clean, well maintained and the food was not bad for institutional. The cooks said they make it with love and I believe them. A good experience overall.

When I came here I was in real bad condition. Coming here has given me much encouragement and positivity to move forward. The staff is caring and compassionate and have helped me not only to feel better but want to become a better person. Activities girls are a blessing and a great encouragement to better my health.
