I would give ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!! This place is not only horrible they are BEYOND NEGLIGENT! Do not put your loved one here if you want them to be cared for like they should be. MY LOVED ONE HAD TO BE RUSHED TO EMERGENCY ROOM BECAUSE OF NEGLECT AND HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL 18 DAYS NOW. They do not care about the patients well being. the medical transport ambulance drivers that transported to the emergency room said this is the absolute worst nursing facility in Orlando and that I was lucky to be removing my family member from this place. How are they still operating with the state while they neglect and withhold medications that are vital to the patients well being ??? we have file a grievance with the state of Florida and the necessary agencies so that this doesn't continue to happen to other people's loved ones

My mom was taken care of and she loved her physical therapy sessions. The staff were friendly and super helpful. I am so thankful that she was being taken care of so well. She has dementia and at a previous facility she stayed at (not affiliated with South Orange), they didn't even know where she was when I visited her. No problem like that at South Orange. I wouldn't mind staying there and that says a lot.

Although and older facility the care is great. Nice size therapy gym, leadership addresses any concerns. The Director of Nursing is very helpful and you see her often rounding with the staff and residents. They have an open door policy always willing to help. Great please to recover for short-term Therapy or even if you need long-term care!

My mother was staying there for weeks and they were always shortstaffed. They were getting ice from a cooler instead of a machine for the patients. There was a couple of times my mom went on herself and called to get changed and no one would come right away. Some of the staff members were really nice, but that doesn’t make up for the care received at that facility. She has end stage renal failure, and was not a priority. It didn’t matter that she could’ve gotten an infection. My mother would call my brother or me for us to call the front station to get the assistance she needed because no one was coming to her room when she pressed the call button. My mother is disabled her legs don’t work good (fall risk), but she did her best to use the bathroom herself because she got tired of bothering the nurses. When she fell on the floor, she had to call my brother for him to call the front desk and get somebody to help her. She is diabetic and they weren’t feeding her according to a diabetic plan. There’s a lot more I could say, but I’m just gonna end it right here. I do not recommend this place and the smell is horrible as soon as you walk into that lobby. Also, that facility is falling apart.

South Orange Health and Rehab may not be the most visually appealing facility, but what they lack in appearance, they truly make up for in the quality of care. The team works incredibly hard and is genuinely dedicated to their patients. They offer daily activities, provide snacks twice a day, and serve three meals. The rehabilitation team is also outstanding. What meant the most to me was the follow-up after my father was discharged. They took the time to text and check on how he was doing and adjusting at home. I am truly grateful for the care and kindness they showed my father.
