Such an amazing facility! The staff and nursing team are friendly and always attentive to the residents needs. The facility is clean and well run and I would always recommend bringing your family here.

If you're looking for an active independent or assisted living community for someone you love, I cannot recommend South Bay highly enough. They have a waiting list—and after seeing it firsthand, it's easy to understand why.<br><br>The community is absolutely beautiful. The spacious two-bedroom apartments, especially those that open directly onto the peaceful pond, feel more like luxury residences than assisted living. The setting is serene, meticulously maintained, and truly feels like home.<br><br>The pool and amenities are nothing short of spectacular—they rival those of a five-star resort. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, dignity, and an exceptional quality of life.<br><br>The dining is another standout. As a native Charlestonian with high expectations and a discerning palate, I can honestly say the food has exceeded every expectation. The meals are consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—something that's incredibly important when choosing a community where your loved one will truly enjoy day-to-day life.<br><br>What truly sets South Bay apart, though, is the people. The staff genuinely care and treat every resident with kindness, compassion, and respect, giving families confidence that their loved ones are in wonderful hands. A very special thank you to Alexa, who has been absolutely instrumental throughout this process. Her guidance, responsiveness, and genuine compassion made what could have been an overwhelming transition feel seamless. She goes above and beyond in every way.<br><br>I also want to recognize Kellye Palmer, whose warmth, professionalism, and dedication are evident in everything she does. Together, Alexa and Kellye exemplify the caliber of people who make South Bay such an extraordinary community. Their commitment to residents and families is truly exceptional, and our family is incredibly grateful for everything they've done.<br><br>If you have the opportunity to secure a spot here, don't hesitate. Mom's been here going on 3 years now. She has run the gambit of health issues over that time. And frankly, Mom has received continous, excellent care. From Baliessia (assisted living director) to the med techs, and the care givers; together we have grown into an extended family. Her nickname is "what what". [Long story]<br>Anyone considering an assisted living home should feel comfort knowing their own loved ones will be safe and taken care of well. I would just like to say that Mrs. Kash Frazier is a very sweet and kind worker. She's also passionate with her patients and I love that about her. She put so much pride in her work and taking care of the elderly.
