This is a great community with lots of beautiful updates. The staff have been great to work with and all are so caring and helpful. A truly great group of people live here and it feels like a true community!

From the moment I toured Sandpiper at Shem Creek, I knew it was something special. The community is absolutely beautiful, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately feels like home. The team is genuinely caring, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make residents and families feel supported.<br><br>The newly renovated apartments and common areas are well-maintained, the activities keep residents engaged and connected. It's clear that the team takes pride in creating an environment where residents can truly enjoy life while receiving the support they need.<br><br>If you're looking for a senior living community that combines compassion, a VIBRANT lifestyle, and peace of mind for families, I highly recommend Sandpiper at Shem Creek.

I had an excellent visit. I am in the process of searching the area for options, however, and am not ready to commit at this time. I especially liked that the assisted living facility is just across the street.

This place has gone downhill over the past 5 years. The staff is less than accommodating, they have let go of the night security, meal options have been cut immensely, social events less and less and house keeping is almost non existent. My mother in law was there from 2010-2015 and it was an amazing experience. She thrived. The staff was caring and attentive, my parents moved in 2018 and at first all was great, but gradually has gone downhill. Dad has had his place flooded twice leaving him with massive fans and extension cords creating huge tripping hazards. I had to complain and little was done. They have had 2 turnovers in ownership or at least name changes in the past 3 years alone. Yes they are doing renovations but not accommodating their residents while doing so, they keep on cutting amenities and services that were promised upon leasing. We hope things will change and we can give a better review in the future.
