This is Bobs wife, Cindy. Our sister stayed at Smokey Mountain Rehab for several weeks. The care and professionalism displayed by everyone from the office staff to the therapists, from the housekeepers to the nurses/ Nurse Practitioner were exceptional. A special shoutout to Ashley and Emilie for their kindness and patience with our sister, Patricia. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for caring, competent and exceptional care!

My grandfather was here for 25 days after major surgery and had to be re-hospitalized for infection, dehydration, and poor nutrition. In my opinion, this facility is not currently equipped to help someone heal after major internal surgery. Perhaps if they hire more nurses, but they really don’t have the staff to adequately care for each person as is. Some of the staff were very kind and helpful and I appreciate that, but they really should not be accepting patients that they can’t adequately care for. There were repeated issues with equipment, timely medication, and lack of attention to wound care leading to rehospitalization.

I have worked with the staff at Smoky Mountain Health & Rehab in my role as a hospice patient care coordinator. They have been a great partner in providing care for residents nearing end of life. We have worked together to provide Veteran pinning ceremonies as well as educate and support families and caregivers. We are honored to partner with them and continue to provide the best care and focus on quality of life.

As a Care Advocate, I go into Smoky Mountain N&R once a week as I have done for 8 months now. From the very first time meeting staff, I have been treated with curiosity. Not only am I grateful for their kindness, I’m grateful that a community such as Smoky Mountain N&R respects and sincerely cares for each one of their residents. As well as keeping it top notch and clean. If you have the opportunity to take a tour, I would advise you to do so. You will be pleased!!

We brought my dad in and outside of 2 or 3 staff it was a horrible experience. They promised to bath him twice a week. After they bathed him the next day he did not get a bath for another 8 days. And then it was another week after that. It took HOURS for somebody to get to his room when he hit the help button because he needed to get changed or something else. He has no control over his bowels and often did not get changed until noon or later. I would not send my worst enemy here. We couldn't get him to a different place fast enough. If I could give zero stars I would.
