The community provides care through three neighborhoods designed to meet the needs of residents at different stages of dementia. Nexus is an internationally-recognized program for early-stage residents combining science and social engagement, serving residents at higher cognitive levels who are more independent. Additional neighborhoods serve residents in later stages of the disease who may have lost the ability to communicate verbally and require a high degree of assistance with activities of daily living. Staffing includes a physician medical director, masters level social worker, and 24-hour licensed nurses.
Silverado offers unique and innovative programs and amenities for residents. The community hosts creative activities such as floral design workshops and provides enrichment programming. The facility design allows residents opportunity to be comfortable both indoors and outdoors while staying active. The community also offers a Dementia Care Certification program for caregivers that requires 40 hours of classroom and hands-on training.
The community is led by an experienced leadership team, including Executive Director Patrice with extensive background in assisted living and memory care, Director of Health Services Christina with 26 years of nursing and senior care experience, and Director of Resident and Family Services Jaime, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive background in medical social work serving older adults and those affected by dementia. The community employs a culinary director trained at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School who brings passionate food service to residents.
