The staff are friendly and generally try to be helpful; however, there are some team members who seem indifferent. I was sitting with my mother when she called the nurses as she was in pain, and when someone finally arrived, they asked if she was okay. She responded "No," but the individual simply walked away. The next problem isn’t a major problem but considering how much people have to pay to stay here it is worth noting. My mother has been here for about a year, and since the new owners assumed control, things have begun to decline. Recently, the owners decided to stop providing soft drinks with patient meals, citing cost concerns. Considering there are over 60 rooms, each housing two patients, it’s hard to understand how inexpensive beverages like Shasta sodas could be too costly—especially given the monthly fees residents pay.

My mother was here for the last month of her life. I was with her every day and able to see firsthand the excellent level of care she received from everyone on the staff. They were professional, courteous and extremely caring. In the last week they took as much care for me as they did for her. They made sure I had something to eat and drink and when I left for the day they reassured me that they would call me if there were changes in my Mom’s condition. This gave me the peace to be able to come home and rest. I am very thankful for all they did for us. Glenna
