First Light Home Care is a great place to work. I have been an employee for them coming up 2 years in September. The local staff in my local town is wonderful to work with. One thing I appreciate is how much they let us know that we, the caregivers, are appreciated. (A few more financial incentives and rewards for great work would be nice, but overall, they are a great company to work for.) The people who do the answering service are friendly, but professional and seem to care.

I’ve been working with FirstLight Home Care here in East Tennessee, and overall it’s been a really positive experience. What stood out to me early on was how supportive and responsive the office team is—they actually communicate with you and make sure you have what you need to do your job well. The clients are treated with a lot of respect, and there’s a clear focus on matching caregivers with the right situations, which makes a big difference day to day. I’ve never felt like I was just being sent somewhere without context or support. Scheduling has been fair and consistent, and if something comes up, the team is willing to work with you instead of making things difficult. That flexibility and understanding go a long way in this line of work. Overall, it feels like a place that values both its clients and its employees, which isn’t always the case in home care. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a caregiving position in the Tennessee area. I’d also recommend FirstLight to families looking for home care for a loved one, because from what I’ve seen, they genuinely care about providing dependable, compassionate support and making sure clients feel comfortable, respected, and well cared for.
