Horrible horrible horrible!! One star is too many. “Skilled Nursing Facility” is a joke. My father has been at The Waters for almost two weeks for PT and OT after a hospitalization. He is declining, NOT getting stronger! The staff is a skeleton crew, the food is worse than any hospital food, and my impression is that the standard of care is to serve three meals/day and the insurance- approved daily PT sessions. That. Is. It. He is left to lay in a bed all the time. Yesterday, he was finally offered a a shower in a community shower room for the first time since arriving! No one has asked him about brushing his teeth, or suggesting he do so, or helping him to brush! I do this when I visit, but no one on the MINIMAL staff cares or thinks to do so. The Waters is providing absolutely minimal and unacceptable care for any human in a “medical” facility, much less a Veteran. I am working with the VA to get him moved immediately!

If I could give negative stars I would!! There is no shower in my father’s room. He has to use a community shower down the hall but since he isn’t ambulatory he can’t. No one has even bothered to offer to bath him!! They have forgotten to give meds, ran out of milk for the food tray!! If you have any heart at all for your loved one AVOID this place and all cost!!! The director was fired the week we have been here along with an RN and a couple of CNAs. This is a total joke! Suppose to have 2 RNs and a minimum of 3 CNAs per floor. We have had one of each all week! Again AVOID AVOID CMS aka Medicare should shut this place down!!!

A friend stayed for a week after surgery. The food was so bad she couldn't eat it. For breakfast the 'French toast' was a buttered piece of toast with syrup dipping cup. Once for breakfast she was served a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. All other meals were COLD. They are understaffed. Any time she used her call button she was told it's going to be a while and it was! Up to an hour later! There is no reason for this terrible service, especially in the medical field.

Mother in law has been at The Waters for 4 months. The nurses have been so kind and treat the patients with dignity and respect. The environment is clean and there are daily activities for the residents. There have been a few issues as with anyplace but the staff are quick to address any problems we have run into. We are kept up to date on MIL health and care which hasn't always been the case. Big thank you to the nurses and staff that truly love the residents and work so hard to take excellent care of them.

Finding a rehabilitation center for my Dad was difficult with the care he needs but when our family entered the doors of Waters facility we knew by talking with the staff and asking many questions that this was a perfect selection. He gets great care, comfort and piece of mind, as we all do. If you are searching for placement for a family member feel at ease that this will be a place for them.
