My mother, at 99 yrs old was very sharp mentally & very had a independent spirit. She lived in her own home until she died. Seniors helping Seniors was very beneficial for my siblings and me when we decided we didn't want her to be alone for long periods of time for fear she would fall using her walker. They came from 9am to 3pm. We were just starting to set up overnight help when my mom went home to Jesus. The Seniors Helping Seniors women were very kind & accommodating to my mom's wishes. They cleaned up her kitchen, fixed her lunch, helped her to shower, let her dog in & out and encouraged her to get up & walk around for exercise. I would highly recommend Seniors Helping Seniors To begin with my mom didn't want strangers in her house but the large majority of these ladies were able to help my mom get used to the idea that she was helping her children out by allowing Seniors Helping Seniors come to be with her when we couldn't be there. Most of these women were open about their Christian values.

God’s earthly hands assisting others to keep their loved ones home in the care of their loved ones. That’s the only way I can describe Seniors Helping Seniors. I met Terry from an add they put in a Newspaper. The moment I met him, I knew he and his staff were going to be the fit I needed for my situation. Terry was gracious. He listened, something I didn’t have from any other agency,. He listened to my concerns, heard my tears, and didn’t speak until I was done speaking. He spoke with softness, kindness, compassion, respect and care. We hired them and let me tell you, they sent Vickie and when I say she was unbelievable, she was unbelievable! The most thoughtful, caring, kind, compassionate, loving, human being God could have sent. She was made to be a caretaker! She radiated what Seniors Helping Seniors stands for. She carried my burdens, truly! She was incredible! My Mom was able to pass away in her home, peacefully, where she wanted to, and that wouldn’t have been the case if it wasn’t for Seniors Helping Seniors, their staff and especially Vickie! While I don’t get to talk to them as often as I would like, I regard them as part of my family. I would highly recommend Seniors Helping Seniors to help in your time of need.

Every interaction our family had with this company was simply top-notch. The management team was highly-responsive at every stage, and the caregivers were all experienced and professional, and of course very caring. This is a great business model and if we ever need home care services again, SHS of Northern Indiana will be the first place we call.

I HIGHLY recommend this company! They are the true definition of kind, caring and courteous! When I need something, they are there, with a quickness and kindness! Everyone I have met through this company has been amazing! My personal favorite is Holly! She is sweet, makes my dad laugh and treats him with respect. She is also someone I feel comfortable speaking to about everything. Which means a lot when you don’t have that.. Becky and Kari have helped tremendously! I can reach out with any questions or problems and they do not hesitate! Help is on the way!! Melanie is kind and gentle. Geri always goes above and beyond and helps me keep my sanity by the help she provides with cleaning. It’s hard doing it all. But they make it not so hard. And I am extremely grateful and blessed to have their help!
