We moved my grandma here a few years ago when she needed more care, and the experience was excellent. The staff were always friendly and caring toward both residents and visitors. The facility was consistently clean, and I especially appreciated the table in the front area where we could play dominoes with my grandma—it made for some really nice memories.

Concerned about the safety of the elderly here when there is no one at the main entrance to check people in. Otherwise, kind careworkers and loving service towards my elderly loved one who resides there.

If you’re trying to decide where to send an elderly loved one for rehabilitation, please read this first. We had three options in the area for my 85-year-old mother after she had knee surgery with a joint infection. Our goal was to get her strong enough to return home and live independently. BellTower was one of the choices, and we selected them because Wellbrook had no openings. From the very beginning, we were disappointed. There was no orientation for my mother or our family about the facility, what services were offered, or what to expect. Things went downhill quickly from there. My mother was mentally sharp and placed in a room right outside the nurses’ station. She required assistance to get out of bed with a walker and help on and off the toilet. Every time she pressed the call button, it routinely took over 20 minutes for staff to respond. When they did arrive, they often left her sitting on the toilet and did not return in a timely manner, forcing her to call out again while in pain. The final straw occurred around 5:30 a.m. My mother needed to use the bathroom and pressed the call button. When the aide arrived, my mother told her she needed to have a bowel movement. The aide responded, “Just go ahead and go in your bed,” and walked out of the room. My mother yelled for help, not wanting to lose her dignity by soiling the bed. She could hear nurses in the hallway laughing and chatting about unrelated topics while she called out. No one came. She sat in her own feces for nearly two hours until the day shift nurse arrived, cleaned her up, and helped her shower. I immediately met with several administrators. While they appeared shocked, this level of neglect should never happen. The lack of accountability was deeply troubling. We transferred my mother that same day to Holy Cross. The difference has been night and day. The staff there treats patients with dignity and respect, and she is recovering well. If you’re facing a similar decision, I strongly urge you not to choose BellTower. Your loved one deserves far better care.

I like staying here! The people are GREAT! They all treat me like they're happy to see me. Not one person has treated me like a burden. If I ever need treatment like this again, this is where I will come.
