Some staff members here are excellent, but others fall far short of expectations. One social worker in particular, Stacy Dunn, can be very kind when it benefits her, but her attitude can change quickly and unpredictably. The facility itself often has an unpleasant odor, which raises concerns about cleanliness. The food quality is below average, and there have been issues with medication errors and poor communication among staff. Overall, there are significant concerns about the level of care and consistency. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility.

This place is absolutely disgusting, my Dad is there on hospice with a few weeks left and the amount of stuff I have proof of thank God is absolutely horrid and how they treat people and my Dad… the call light rings and rings for over 20 minutes the nurses at the desk eating away while they can hear the call light going off, my Dad has to climb out of bed to find someone for help, his meds are due every 2 hours it’s been sooo many hours and nothing, they said they are understaffed with 2 aids to 60 patients! The aids are ignorant absolutely ignorant! I am sooooooo happy I have proof of all the stuff I witnessed ;) they don’t even deserve one star don’t ever take your family there they can care less I can go on and on and say so much more…me and my family are livid…. The amount of people that have messaged me and told me get my Dad out of this place is sad!!!!!!!! Offering my dad food when he is NPO and on a feeding tube!!!!! Ohhh and me and my mom tried calling for 2 hours last night non stop because my Dad called crying and in pain and no one to help him…no answer at all at this place… I have proof of that as well….eventually I got ahold of someone and whoever she was …. I know the exact date and time so they will know who is working… That Nurse had no idea who I was and just answered anything I asked told me about my dad‘s medication‘s. Didn’t ask who I was didn’t see if I was in his chart at all, that is HIPAA…….and 2 aids to 60 patients… the supervisor told me!!!! Really that has to be illegal!!!! Freaking disgusting……

Giving this facility 1 star is actually generous. My father was here for 1 week. The food was terrible, most nurses and aids were so rude to the patients and my mother when she was visiting. They flat out lie or make up answers to questions you have. As someone in healthcare, I at least had the background to catch their errors. You could ring the bell for assistance and you would be lucky if someone came to check on you in less than 20 minutes. Meanwhile 2 or 3 staff talking and standing around at the nurses' station. As someone with previous experience as a pharmacist in long term care I am aware of the challenges LTC facilities face with staffing, but do not trust Riverstreet Manor with your loved one as I can't imagine a worse experience. Finally, if someone you love needs to go into a LTC facility, no matter how brief the stay, bring an up to date medication list and ask to compare with their med list upon admission.

When I was at the Manor for an entire MONTH with a broken hip, I had never had to STAY at a nursing home previously. I am a CNA now for the past 44 years, so I have worked at the majority of all the nursing homes and hospitals in the Valley throughout my career. When I chose this one I had reservations due to my past experience in ALL of the homes! However, I was delightfully surprised with the entire facility and the MARVELOUS staff! I received optimal care and concern, as well as respect throughout my ordeal! The meals were very well prepared and quite tasty. The services rendered allowed me the privilege to experience how MUCH of an impact it makes on the patient AND the family when the complete facility works as a unified unit with the patient being a priority! I THANK each and every member of the River Street Manor from myself and the members of my family! I recommend this HOME AWAY FROM HOME to ALL of my loved ones and they continue to impress me as at this very point in our lives, my Mother is recuperating from back surgery with them. I rest assured that she is receiving the best care in my absence from them! A heartfelt Thank you goes out to the staff and facility at RIVER STREET MANOR! Sincerely yours, Mary M Hays
