Ridgecrest’s staff cares for my brother with genuine compassion and attention. Melissa, the Assistant Director of Rehab, has spent countless hours working with him and has truly become part of our family. Her bright, bubbly personality brings joy to his days, and she goes out of her way—even on holidays—to make sure he feels remembered. Sophia, the Activity Director, creates wonderful events throughout the year that bring residents and families together in a festive, welcoming environment. She takes the time to get to know each person individually, helping make their stay a little brighter. The entire team keeps us well‑informed about his care and needs, and we are deeply grateful for the dedication they show every day.

My experience with this facility has truly been a blessing. The staff is not only professional but genuinely caring and attentive. They treat residents with dignity and compassion, and it really shows in the way they interact with both patients and families. Communication has been consistent, and I always feel informed and reassured about my loved one’s care. The environment is clean, welcoming, and supportive. I’m so grateful to have found a place where I know my loved one is safe and well cared for. Shoutout to Melissa & Susan in therapy! They are awesome! They will do everything they can for your love ones!

From the moment you walk into the facility, you can tell it is clean, welcoming, and well cared for. Even with the current renovations, it’s clear they are investing in making the space even nicer and more modern, which is exciting to see. The therapy team here is truly outstanding. Melissa, Susan, Somolya, Cedric, Nic, Sara, Gina—and honestly everyone in therapy—go above and beyond for their patients. Their dedication, encouragement, and expertise really show, and they’ve helped so many patients improve beyond where they were prior to hospitalization. It’s amazing to watch the progress that happens here. The nursing staff is caring, attentive, and always makes sure patients feel comfortable and supported. Management is also very responsive and on top of things—they address any concerns or questions quickly, which gives a lot of peace of mind. One thing that really stands out is the activities program. The activities are unique, engaging, and genuinely fun. The team does a great job getting residents out of their rooms and involved, which makes a huge difference in their overall well-being. Overall, this facility provides not only great care but also a positive and uplifting environment for patients and their families. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality care and a team that truly cares.

Melissa, the assistant director of rehab, at my grandma’s rehab facility has been amazing. From the start, she was super professional but also really kind and easy to talk to. She always made sure our family understood what was going on with my grandma’s therapy and kept us updated on her progress. You can tell she really cares about her patients, not just as part of her job, but as people. She also does a great job leading the rehab team—everyone seems organized, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping residents improve. My grandma always felt encouraged during her therapy, and we really think that made a big difference in her progress. We’re so thankful for everything she’s done and would definitely recommend this facility because of the care and leadership she provides.

Update: After leaving my Google review, Ridgecrest called DeLand PD on me in retaliation for my review. I will now have to submit a statement and proof of my allegations (which I have plenty of) against the facility. I was just informed last week that my granny has a balance due for the three months that she has been there Medicaid pending. I only received one phone call for the balance due. This place is a cesspool. If you care for your loved one, do not put them in Ridgecrest. German roach infestation. This has been going on for months. Every time I make a complaint they blame it on the construction in the building. I have multiple videos that I've taken over the last few months to prove this. Few weeks ago I noticed food smashed on the floor in my grandmother's room. Purposely waited to see how long it would take for someone to clean her messy room. I made a complaint January 5th. On January 9th observe the same food on the floor. Also observed dirty gloves on the floor and dead Roach, (have pictures and video) made another complaint to staff. January 11th same food was still on the floor. Return January 14th to see they mopped one small area of her room. Couldn't even move her bed to sweep and mop underneath it. The bed is on wheels (easy to move) might I add. Quite a few aids and nurses have attitude problems. They seem to think my grandmother's care is a joke. They charge $10,000 a month for minimal care and deplorable conditions. Will be contacting the state in DCF as well.
