Staff was very helpful with my needs, diatary, nursing and physical therapy John. Also the administrator Mathew Goss-Hammnond and DON Serita Lang and I will not forget them also the receiptionist little bitt they were all wonderful and helpful during my short stay. I met a lot of friends and they were so supportive and care about me and all the other resident's, finally I would definitely recommend my friend if needed to be. Thank You, Redwood staff

I'd like to share that I came to Charlotte from Nebraska to visit my parents for the holidays on December 21st. It has been a stressful week finding out that my mother is going to require surgery at the end of the month due to bone cancer and will need skilled care as my father can not physically care for her afterwards during the healing and strengthening stage. This came as a shock as I am supposed to be heading home on the 4th and they did not feel the need to let me know about it until the 30th. I have visited 9 facilities over the past few days with my father and Redwood was my last stop. I really felt bad as I arrived late yesterday at about 7:45pm unannounced. I was greeted by a man who said he was the Administrator, he looked as if he was packed up and about to leave for the day. He introduced himself and invited my father and myself into a conference room. He set his stuff down on the table. After seeing 4 other facilities yesterday on a holiday of all days, my father was a bit irritable and exhausted as well as thirsty and to be honest I was too. The administrator gathered both my father and I drink and a snack for then took us on a guided tour of the facility. He took his time to explain a lot of options and answer any questions that my father had, even though some of his questions were quite ridiculous, this man was quite patient with my father and I really liked that. We were introduced to a few staff members including a nurse who manages the weekends. Everyone in that building had smiles from the workers to ones that live in that facility, there wasn't a sad or depressed face on anyone we have seen. I read a few of the reviews and I didn't get a sense of any of those negative ones during my visit. The place was immaculately clean, there didn't appear to be any foul smells, and the residents did not appear to be unkept and uncared for. My father and I were extremely impressed. I apologized several times before we left for coming so late, and he assured us it's no problem. I feel as if there ever would be a potential issue this person and his staff would resolve it immediately and communicate with us without hesitation. This gave me a sense of peace, knowing that there are still some good facilities out there. Living several states a way and knowing I will get a call for every hiccough makes me less nervous. We completed our tour at about 8:40pm and he handed my father and I both his card, a woman who works in this facilities card named Ticola, and someone's card by name of Marie, who works for the facilities admissions. He assured us that when it was time to seek placement at the end of the month possibly beginning of February, he'd love to have us choose this facility and to reach out to Marie, and if she didn't answer to always reach out to him or Ticola. He said E-Mail correspondence is also available too. I have to head back to Nebraska Sunday and will be back at the end of the month, he took my fathers name and number and plans to set up a day for him to come back during the day to meet the therapy workers and other important staff during normal day hours. Thank you so much for making my father and myself feel at ease in this difficult decision and we do plan to reach out to you at this facility when its time for my mothers care needs.

Matthew, the administrator, has been wonderful to my Mother. He has gone above and beyond to make sure she has everything she needs since I live out of town. I would highly recommend Redwood Health And Rehabilitation to anyone looking for a clean, well run facility.
