My sister recently stayed at Pruitt Creekside for rehabilitation following a fall at home and a 1 week hospital stay. I cannot say enough about this facility. From day one, upon entrance, I was blown away by the kind & warm greeting by the receptionist! The facility was pristine clean & odor-free. The atmosphere from the front porch and throughout the facility was bright & cheerful. My sister knew she wanted to go to a Pruitt facility but the location wasn’t known. We were greeted by Bridgette Walton prior to hospital discharge and she shared all info about Pruitt. I was given a list of locations to visit & get back regarding location we decided upon. Pruitt Creekside was the first & once I entered, I knew this was the perfect place! All the staff to include nurses, therapists, CNA’s, dietary staff went above and beyond to make my sisters stay as pleasant & comfortable as possible! Therapy was tailored to my sisters individual need rather than generic routines & she was very pleased! During the Care Plan meeting, the team explained their roles & progress made by my sister. The Discharge Planning was quite thorough. Effective coordination for my sisters return to her home was planned very well to include equipment needs. My sister entered facility barely able to stand & walk and is leaving with outstanding progress with therapy & is now able to walk alone & use a walker!! I cannot recall the names of all staff because there was too many to recall but three were OUTSTANDING & I want to give a commendable recognition to Brigette Walton, DeKisha Louis, and Jessica Love! These ladies were quite the “ Dream Team” and I highly recommend Pruitt-Creekside to everyone who is in need of short-term or long-term services/care for their loved one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start with the positive things about Pruitt Creekside. Aside from the name change from Amara Nursing Home to Pruitt Creekside Nursing Home they've done a wonderful job at revamping the building. I now would like to speak about the staff, starting with the social worker Joni who is a wonderful addition to Creekside as well as someone who will help and assist you with any need you may have regarding your loved one. I find that I have to use her 99% of the time with any concerns regarding my niece who is a resident there. The front desk staff especially Monica are very pleasant, very professional and helpful. My only concerns with those who assist with my niece (who by the way can be a handful but then again she is paralyzed and has a lot of needs) not giving them a pass (I'm speaking of the Aides now) because as a former CNA myself this job is not for the light-hearted nor for the IMPATIENT. Before transferring my niece to Creekside I asked about different things that I was concerned about coming from the last facility. I was told by Administration that my niece would be turned every 2 hours even if she's in a wheelchair they would help adjust her if she had any complaints. Lie#1. I was told initially that she would be showered three times a week, lie #2. I will say this much I addressed this with Joni because my niece was actually smelling from body odor one day when I went there and Joni explained to me what the mishap was and that going forward she would be showered three times a week. Across the board with nursing homes, Creekside is no different you have the AIDES who speak to not just my niece but I'm sure other residents out the side of their neck talking down to them like they're such a bother and not that they're the patient/resident that they're being paid to care for. No this job will not make you rich but this is the job that they signed up for. It's unfortunate that maybe they don't have the education/skills to do anything else and so these are the people we have looking after the elderly, the sickly and our family members who we love but just cannot care for them in our own homes. I'm a respectful person period so I'm going to speak to everyone respectful especially those who I am trust my niece with in hope that they would treat my family member with some kind of dignity and kindness when I'm not there. I have a disability myself and cannot care for my niece I tried, I had her in my home for 2 weeks it was too physical a job for me so I had to place her. It was ironic that I had this offer today to give my review of Pruitt Creekside. Going forward I anticipate working with those who are in charge of caring for my niece. My niece can be difficult and I stay on her back as well so let's not get it twisted but again this is their job to take care of her and to treat her with dignity and respect. On an overall scale of 1-10 I give Pruitt Creekside an 8 1/2 because every nursing home needs improvement.

Neglect and violation of safety standard's, removing a call button from a resident that can’t even walk, is bed ridden, and has to scream to the top of his lungs to call for help every night and still not coming to attend is what is happening to my father here. I do NOT recommend.

My experience with the Pruitt Creekside Team, with a special kudo to for Takeisha Louis, the Admissions Director; is top-tier! Friendly m the initial phone call to discuss the possible transition of my parents to the Creekside facility to the actual impending move has been addressed with the utmost respect, care, empathy and understanding/support….I can’t express how much our family appreciate you, Keisha and the amazing Creekside team!

In 1994, we visited this retirement center as part of our Church Group. I had 2 Senior Citizens i was responsible for as a 13 year old. The local SDA Church sponsored this program. I remember talking with the residents and reading from the Bible. I know they have passed on, and I don't know why this memory just hit with force.
