If I could give zero stars, I would. Oxford Home Health was hired to provide care for my sick and elderly mother. We had a clear conversation on Friday to have someone come out on Saturday — and then nothing. No call, no show. I called twice and left detailed messages with my name, number, and the situation. The first call was because we truly needed urgent assistance. The second was to let them know to forget it — because by then, my mother had already been taken to the hospital. Shes home - we even attempted to give them another chance today, but instead of honoring that, they tried to push the intake off until tomorrow. To make matters worse, my aunt received some completely conflicting message about a staff member possibly coming today — if they could fit it in before their kid’s soccer practice. That is not just unprofessional, it is downright appalling. Dependability is the absolute baseline expectation for a Home Health provider. Showing up and communicating should not be an amenity but the standard. Oxford failed on every front. The administrator did eventually call me back, but by then it was far too late. The damage was done, and we had already made the decision to fire them and find a better alternative. If you value reliability, communication, and compassion in caring for your loved ones, look elsewhere. Oxford Home Health is not a company you can trust when it matters most. Oxford — there’s no need to reply to this review with the usual “please call us so we can discuss further.” We’ve already done that. This review is for those families who don’t have the time, energy, or emotional bandwidth to be jerked around when their loved one’s health is on the line.
