The staff are kind, caring, compassionate people. The facilities are top-notch, clean, and well-maintained. There is a reason the locals nickname this facility "The Taj Mahal" of care homes. It is that exceptional. My 96 year old mother has been here for almost two years, and I can't say enough good things about the entire facility. The menu may not always be gourmet, but it is well-balanced, healthy, and there is always a choice. Two options are provided at each meal. Two of the three servers have been working there 18 and 23 years respectively. They are like family and treat my mom with the greatest respect and love. The activities director is the most stellar person you've ever met. The nursing director is professional and caring. Everyone in this care home is so kind from the housekeepers to the CNAs to the dining room staff to the administration. I never worry and my mother because I know she's in the best hands. Five stars for The Retreat at Osprey Village.

We have been very pleased with the Osprey Village Retreat. The experienced staff is exceptional; always available and willing to assist the residents and families. The Retreat Activity Director, Diane, is exceptionally wonderful and treats all the residents with kindness and respect.

Wanted to share some honest feedback with The Osprey Village. My mother and father in-laws have lived there for almost two years in a cottage. My father-in-law is a lawn guy and has been very disappointed with the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds throughout the community. Dead plants are along the entryway and residents are allowed to maintain - or not maintain their own yards. He joined the landscape committee and tried to bring his concerns to the ownership but they are not very transparent with their budget or spending for the community. This left my father-in-law feeling like the resident's opinions didn't matter to the ownership. Additionally, although the residents can call for repairs to the properties, if they don't, the property simply goes into disrepair. When doing the walk-through of their future residence, the property had leaks inside and the gutters were overflowing with debris, from the previous owner. If you have a loved one in the community, I would highly suggest that you check on the condition of the property yourself periodically, as repairs can go without being checked by staff. Very disappointing considering how much residents pay to live there.
