About Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley

Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley is a senior living community in Carrollton, Texas, located off Highway 121 near the Castle Hills neighborhood. Opened in early 2024, it is operated by Heritage Communities, an owner-operator of senior living communities since 2002 with properties in Nebraska, Iowa, Arizona, and Texas. The community offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, and respite/short-term recovery care all under one roof, allowing residents to age in place without needing to relocate as their needs change.

Independent living apartments provide access to meals, social opportunities, and maintenance-free living. Assisted living residents can choose from one- and two-bedroom apartments equipped with kitchenettes, cable TV, and internet access, along with 24/7 support tailored to individual care plans developed through a pre-move-in assessment. The community also offers a "transition in place" option, allowing residents to receive assisted living services while remaining in their original independent living apartment if their needs change.

Memory care services are designed for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, using a signature, Montessori-inspired programming approach that builds on residents' personal histories to encourage a sense of purpose and self-esteem. Staff use techniques such as cueing and guidance to help residents safely engage in enjoyable activities. A related program, Snapshots™, supports residents experiencing some cognitive impairment through small group and one-on-one cognitive and social stimulation.

Respite and recovery care is available for those needing short-term support, such as post-operative recovery or temporary relief for regular caregivers, with stays ranging from a couple of weeks to three months in furnished apartment homes. The community coordinates with residents' physicians and other providers during these stays. Orchard Pointe is described as pet-friendly.

The community maintains an active social calendar featuring games like Pitch and Rummikub, crafts such as crochet and quilting, book clubs, tech classes, outings, parties, and excursions, with input from residents on future programming. Located near Coyote Ridge, Hebron, Indian Creek, and Fairway Vista, the community is close to Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, The Colony Five Star Complex, Indian Creek Golf Club, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, and Hebron High School, along with additional area parks and trails.

I can't express how much I love OPC and the staff they have there. My parent who is not at all social and for the most part a recluse. He has started to join the activities and social events, which truly is a miracle! From the desk staff to the kitchen staff to the administrative staff, they all are an amazing group of people. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The services are reasonably priced and perfect for us. I highly recommend OPC, trust me, I have looked all over the metroplex and they are the best around!

My parents have been so resistant to senior living, but we finally convinced them to try it. The entire staff is so welcome and warming. The Executive Director, Blair, is so present with the families and residents. What a great decision we made! 10/10 recommend!

I am giving this community a 4.0 star because improvement is being made. I was hesitant to keep my family member in this community due the very high turnover in management and caregivers. At times, communication was less than ideal, and it was difficult for my mom to establish a lasting relationship with staff due to frequent changes. There has been improvement in caregivers, and my mom recently made a comment about how great the food is. While there’s still work to be done, I appreciate the steps that have been taken to address past issues. Another positive change is Rosa Jackson. If I could, I would give her a 10 star. Since Rosa took over the business office, things have really improved. I can contact her and she actually answers the phone. Before she started, there were a lot of issues with billing and things just didn’t seem organized. Every month I had question about charges on my mom bill. She had different amount every month and no one could explain the reason why. but she came in, fixed everything, and now it’s all running smoothly. Whenever I see her, she always has a smile. It’s been such a nice change having her at the community. We decided to stay and see what other positive change will happen. If you are considering Orchard Pointe, I recommend touring and speaking with some of the current residents and staff to get a sense of the recent improvements. Overall, I am hopeful about the future and grateful for the positive changes.

From the very beginning, working with Emily and the entire team at Orchard Pointe has been nothing short of a blessing. Emily's warmth, professionalism, and genuine heart made a world of difference during what can often be a difficult transition. She, along with the others that helped us, took the time to answer every question, ease every concern, and made us feel like family from day one. What truly sets this community apart is the deep level of care and intentionality the staff brings to each and every resident. The team prioritizes creating not just a safe space, but a joyful, enriching, and dignified environment for everyone who calls this place home. We are beyond grateful for Emily and the entire staff - they have created something truly special.
